Current Affairs

Having finally brought his unit back to full strength Usanth has begun to further his jousting ability, spending ample time at the academy in Hawthorne and attending every tournament. So far he has managed to reach the third round in every event and Lord John expressed a good natured concern at Usanth's rising ability.

The Knights of the Frost have quickly garnered a reputation as unit willing to fight to the death in all situations, and only Captain Aldred and Usanth himself are left from the original riders.

Usanth is a recently converted follower of Saint Isa and a member of the Way of the Warrior Saints. The story of his conversion can be found here.

Appearance

Standing 6'5" and with short brown hair he is the spitting image of his father unlike his two younger brothers who take after their mother. Solidly built, Usanth practises a regular regime of exercise and combat training. Rarely seen without his plated armour and weapons, some wonder as to what he keeps inside the leather pouch which hangs from around his neck.

History

Setting sail when he turned 17, Usanth decided to leave his homeland and arrived in Tara, having heard of their need for able soldiers. Almost instantly he was thrust into the front lines and did battle with the enemies of the realm, proving himself an able commander of men. Disturbed by the lack of unity and infighting, Usanth eventually withdrew his support of Tara instead heading north until he came upon the realm of Eston. Here he felt that he had found a realm that shared the ideals that he held closest to his heart; honour, courage and chivalry.

Lord John, a man who seemed to share Usanth's passion for cavalry and the way of the lance, happily took Usanth into his service and further aided him by gifting the young knight with gold, enough to recruit a small cavalry force. Soon after Lord John suggested Usanth for membership in The Shield (later renamed the National Guard) where he was soon to prove his worth during the Battle of Anost, a fight against a monster incursion. Hearing that a unit of archers were trapped outside the walls, Usanth fearlessly led his knights beyond the gate in an effort to allow the men to escape. Sadly over half of his knights were later buried in the fields and the unit is yet to fully recover its strength.
