Danlawer Family/Gaius Julius

Gaius Julius in Full Armour. As a Hero, he fights in the front lines with his Axe and Shield. He needs a decent protection, but one that doesn't affects his agility. This armour was made by the excellent Toren Smiths from his time in Toren.

Gaius prefers to command infantry, well trained infantry. ("A bow is are for cowards and hunters!!") He will give his life for his men, and he expects to get the same loyalty in return. He will also command cavalry in times when needed. Called cavalry, but actually just his mounted footsoldiers

When Gaius arrived in Perdan: The Arrival (RP)

Gaius walked through the city gate of Perdan. He heard many stories about the city, but seeing it with your own eyes is much more impressing. He followed the paved road up the hill, his scribe following his footsteps. Gaius spent some time sightseeing till he reached the town hall. It was a nice building, beautiful decorated. There was one desk in the middle of the hall.

"Can I help you?" asked the lady behind the desk.

Gaius walked forward.

"Yes, I'm willing to join Perdan. Where can I arrange this?"

"You have to be at the second floor, the third door at your right."

"Thank you" he said, and walked toward the stairs.

He reached the office and told the clerk about his past and his interest to join Perdan. The clerk smiled. "You have to be at the first floor for that. This is only for people who already lived on this continent. I'm sorry"

Gaius sighed. "All right then. . ." Bureaucrats. . . Always the same. . . He followed the instructions of the clerk and reached the other office. He repeated his story, hoping he was at the right spot. The clerk kept staring. . . "Well", he said, "you are at the right place!". An hour later and after singing several papers he left the town hall again, but now as a citizen of Perdan.

He entered the closest pub and ordered a beer and an orange juice. The last one he gave to his scribe and told him to sit down.

"Eric, please write down what I'm going to tell you. Its a letter for my fellow nobles. Once I'm finished and you finished your drink, copy it as much as needed and make sure its delivered to everyone up here."

"How many nobles are there?" Eric asked. . .

"I think the clerk said 90, so you'll have one hell of a night!!

When Gaius arrived in Perdan: First contact with his fellow nobles (Letter)

Fellow nobles of Perdan,

I'm Gaius Julius Danlawer, Son of Ghaleb Danlawer. I had two brother, one died in a battle, but Jannes Danlawer is still alive. He's successful noble in the Far East where he commanded (and within several days will command again) the armies of Sartania.

I myself come from Toren, the realm on the South-East Island. I travelled away, leaving behind the treason of my land. The people back stabbed our ally without listening to the words of wise and some of the oldest nobles, including me. I was Judge of Toren for many months before I left. I served Toren for a very long time. In the beginning as a knight, but later on as a hero. I was count several times, the same with the Marshal position. I also commanded the Toren army but I served the longest as Judge. I crushed three rebellions but also worked out two incapable realm leaders.

Maybe these things don't mean anything to you... And I can understand that, but it means a lot for me. I worked very hard to achieve the goal the nobles were promised when they arrived in Toren: become one of the two last realms on the island. We worked hard to that goal and we were almost there till my brothers in our quest and I saw our work destroyed. It was hard to leave, but I couldn't live with the idea to follow a traitorous General. So I left my beloved home...

I hope to find a new home here in Perdan. A new land where my past achievements don't mean a thing, a new start... and I'm really looking forward to this start! I hope that one day I can call Perdan my home! I drink one on that!

I recruited a small unit. I will be trying to find my way through Perdan the first days, looking for a Liege and information. Any help is welcome and much appreciated. I would be very pleased if someone could tell me a bit about our current diplomatic status. I noticed we are in war with Ibladesh... and I also noticed a huge war is going on in the north.

Oh, and if someone could tell me where I'm needed, then I can leave at once.

Upon his arrival in Perdan, he switched shield. He bought one with the Perdan lion on it:

. In battle, he uses his two handed Axe to cut down his enemies. His shield is attached to his back on a way he can easily use it. He uses his shield together with his sword, which he carries at his left side. His gloves are covered with leather at the inner side to avoid the slipping of his weapons.
