The adventurer known as Hamwise discovered this book, starting to smell real bad after being in the company of some really decaying unquiet dead. One of the zombies was quite unusual in that he liked to collect a load of old rubbish. Amongst the trinkets and shiny coins and badly illustrated books dealing with unusual relationship issues, was this tome of knowledge.

The Daemonic Compendium of Tor was compiled over a number of Daemonic Invasions of Beluaterra. The author, known as Hotchkiss, was a scholar and a gentleman, but lacked family connections to be elevated to the true nobility. But this tome is incredibly useful for any noble wishing to extend his prestige through knowledge of the arcane and malevolent creatures known as Daemons.
