Chateau Saffalore Duchy Agreement

This letter is to affirm the appointment of Dame Katrina Dragul, to the Ducal Seat of Chateau Saffalore, (Lands currently under the control of the realm of Terran, to be Annexed upon the destruction of Terran either by their own Failure or by conquest by D'Haran forces).The feudal rights of a duke as stated in the Laws of D’Hara will be upheld. Appointments of lords to regions that are under Ducal control will be the sole right of the Ducal Crown. The appointment of Imperial regions prior to them becoming part of the duchy will remain with the Royal Crown.

The Duchy of Chateau Saffalore shall send 8% of total taxes to the realm. Shall require that all regions that are attached to the Duchy send at least 5% to the Duchy. This is to ensure that Chateau Saffalore is able to maintain the level of militia required to defend the Northern border of D’Hara, and Protect our common Border with Caerwyn.(Taxes to the realm not to go into effect until ducal city is at 50% of max, until then taxes sent to the realm will be voluntary) Chateau Saffalore shall build and maintain fortifications to the highest level possible that can be easily maintained. It may call upon the aid of the realm in order to do this. And if the realm is able, it shall put forth the gold to see that this is done.

Chateau Saffalore shall build and maintain the minimum of the following: Walls, Weapons/Armor smiths, and a temple for the Way of the Dragon.

It shall be responsible for the patrolling, scouting, and Defense of D’Hara’s Northern Borders and assist with the defense of the Western border in conjunction with Paisly and Chesney. And shall maintain an army in the area for this purpose and to defend D’Hara as a whole in time of war.

Chateau Saffalore shall be free to rule its lands as it seed fit so long as the laws of D’Hara are adhered to. And so long as these agreements are kept, you shall remain Duchess for as long as you wish. If you choose to step down, you may name a successor, but the final decision will be the Crowns.
