Russell the Lightmaker has been hired to repair this item twice, and thought the historians here ought to know about it.
He dug back into the pack and lifted out a hardbacked deep blue leather tome. Unremarkable at first, he clicked open two dull brass latches and the book opened of its own accord with a faint shimmer.
