The Chap'pai family takes it's name from a lost ring like portal that has never been found. No one in the Family is quite sure about the ring itself even existing, and the Family Council doesn't ever speak of it. The Chap'pai have a tendancy to make friends of the villages they wander into, and don't have a strict set of rules. Not a lot is known about them other than the origin of their name.
