The Brilliant Scythe of Cailyn was first liberated by Marcella Lancer, the outlawed sister of Duke Robey Lancer of Icegate and Skullcrusher Lancer, Knight of Icegate. Marcella fled her ancestral home angered by the lack of family funds to see her knighted and on the warrior path.
After roaming Cailyn and destroying monster she came upon a foul beast, a giant amongst the mob of monsters. After defeating all the monsters nearby, she took to the leader with gusto. The fight lasted long and was not without its difficulties, but by the end of the encounter Marcella stood with the Brilliant Scythe of Cailyn in one hand, an axe in the other and a large dead monster at her feet.
