Luarin bowker bm.jpg

"Old souls, old mates. When would we meet again? Why did you show up so late?"

Luarin was born and raised in Pedrera, with her sister Cataryna and her cousins Myrnia and Mattias. Her life of adventures started whith the destruction of the Sultanate of Asena. In war with Sirion and Obsidian Islands, she early learned how to fight and to defend herself. She also learned how to hide her feelings and how to continue to fight when they lost her homeland, or when Sultan after Sultan died at battles. All those events made her stronger, but also made her sad. Her body suffered with the constant fights and she felt older than everyone else.

During the war, she was sent to prison many times, and after some time she already knew some of the guards of Sirion dungeons and they used to talk a bit. There were that time she really needed them. When the pain started, she called a guard and asked him to find someone to help her. She was having a baby. No one knew about her pregnancy, not even Myrnia, or she wouldn't allow Luarin to go to any battle. Luarin was not worried though. She was strong, she only did not expect the baby to arrive so early. She had plans for her baby... The guards talked to her because she was a good listener. They feel important to know someone that was from a Royal family and they like to talk about this to her. She heard from the guards that Turgon, a Lord from Sirion, had a relative that was King of Thalmarkin, where her sister was a Marshal. She did not plan to have her baby in a prison, but this could be her chance to send her baby away.

As the pain grow and get more frequent, she hold the screams and alone in the dark, she had her little Sophia. A little baby girl with brown hair, green eyes and perfect. Luarin cleaned her, and covered her with a piece of her clothes. She stand a long time watching her baby, knowing she will had little chance to survive at her side. She feed her, and sang to her, telling how much she love her, hoping she wouldn't blaime her some day.

Luarin knew she had little time to decide what to do. Calling a guard, she asked him to send a message to Lord Turgon and another one to the Judge.

"Lord Turgon, We never met before and I will understand if you don't want to get involved on this, but I've heard from the guards that you have a good heart and I need to ask you to do me a favour. I had a secret affair with someone that I will not name. I can assure you is a noble man and that Sophia, the baby I just had, is from a noble lineage. We are enemies, but I will beg if I need for you to save my little girl. Take her, and send her to Thalmarkin to my sister if you can. If this is not possible, please let her be raised by someone you trust. I can feel in my bones that I will die soon. Please, let your heart hear my appeal. I trust you to take care of my little Sophia. Would you do this for me? Luarin Bowker"

The other message, to the judge, was saying she didn't have any gold with her, and that she will continue to fight till death, and those silly things people say in a war.

She had some gold she will use to give to the guards if Lord Turgon agree to have her baby. Waiting for a answer, she stay with the little Sophia, watching her sleep, memorizing every trace of her little face.

After a long, long time, she received a answer from Lord Turgon. A short note saying he would take Sophia to a safe place. She didn't expect a warm letter anyway, this was enough. For all she heard about the lord, he would kept his word and keep the baby safe. Was better this way. No one at Asena could know she had a baby. There would be many questions about the father and Luarin did not want this.

Waiting for the moment she would be released from prison and away from her kid, she enjoy every second with her baby. She knew Sophia would had a better chance away from Asena. It was just too hard to think she will need to say goodbye forever...

At Thalmarkin

Luarin fought the Overlord side by side with her sister Catharyna. After he was defeated, she travelled back to East Continent to find Sophia...

At Dwilight

Luarin travelled for long time before arriving at Dwilight. She swear loyalty to Luria and lived there for many years. After a long time she was recognized as Queen of Sun Hall and again worked day and night to recover the City and the region she was given by the Emperor, Aldrakar Renodin

Irina

It was a calm day, suddenly interrupted by a messenger.

"Here, here, I have a letter to the Queen of Sun Hall".

Luarin waited till the maid brought her the letter, opened it and read it, her face changing to express her surprise.

"Girich is part of the Duchy now? I need to write to Emperor Renodin right now."

The Queen sat on her desk to write a short letter and hand it to the maid asking her to send it immediatelly. Suzerain Emperor Aldrakar Renodin. Girich is now part of Sun Hall, thus, of Luria. What are we going to do about this?

For the Glory of Luria and Sun Hall Luarin Bowker

After writing the letter, she spent time staring into space until her eyes stopped on a blue bracelet, the only memory of her daughter, Sophia. Her memories went back till the day she was born, until the day she left her for the second time. She had Sophia inseide a Sirion prison and asked a noble man to take the baby and give it to someone that could raise the child in peace. The Sultanate were about to be destroyed and she didn't want her daughter there.

Sophia was raised by a couple in Nivemus, where Turgon take her right after her mother asked him for help. Long time passed before she could took a place within nobility, her rightfull place. She had a calm life, not as her mother that loved battles. When Luarin returned from exile, Turgon told her where to find Sophia and mother and daughter could spend some time together. Luarin never told her father's name and she never asked. When the mother, anxious for new adventures, told her she would take the boat for Dwilight, Sophia asked that before leaving she give her blessing for her marriage with a nobleman of Sirion. Soon after the wedding party held in a forest clearance, following the traditions of the Sultanate, Luarin climbed on the boat and stood there waving until she saw Sophia no longer.

A letter received from Sophia's husband years later informed her that a year after her departure Sophia had given birth to Irina, who had her grandmother's black hair and her father's amused eyes. She was a beautiful girl with a strange and rare beauty. Irina had lived with her mother until she died after a long illness. Irina then informed her father that she wanted to be free to look for adventures and that she had then taken a ship to take her to Dwilight to try and find her grandmother. Luarin had never met Irina, though he had searched for her across the continent, secretly.

Long time passed before she could meet her granddaughter and this meeting made her stay away from her duties as Queen, just enjoying the girl - now a beautiful woman - that she never thought she could hold in her arms. She could'nt have Sophia, now all she wanted was to enjoy every moment with Irina and to spoil her as her rightfull heir. irina though, still wanted adventures and it took no long for her to start travelling again.

One day Luarin was talking to Captain Jonas about the unit, when a letter from Lord Staedtler la Stylo was given to her by a boy.

Luarin Bowker,

Duchess of Sun Hall, Margravine of Shinnen

My queen, Your Highness, I write to you upon this sun-bleached evening to ask you of something.

I am with your granddaughter, Irina, presently within the region of Nid Tek. We are in attendance of the Nid Tekkian harvest festival hosted by Imperial Magistrate Nicholas and are thoroughly enjoying eachother's company despite the on and off weather. Her and I met a few weeks back within Giask. Since then, I have hosted her within Shinnen Purlieus and happily accepted her accompaniment when I traveled through to Thar Gortauth for the reparation efforts.

Despite the world's best efforts to make our time together an insufferable experience, we have proven to be quite inseparable. I'm certain it will delight you to hear that she is a woman like no other, and my feelings for her are proving stronger through everything we endure.

Therefore, without a shadow of a doubt upon my heart, I would like to ask your permission to marry Irina.

With reason, Staedtler la Stylo

Earl of Shinnen Purlieus

"Irina is here?" the Queen screamed in joy. "I need to meet her", she said to her maid. "Go and make sure the fastest horse is prepared for me." Even old, Luarin still wanted to be in a horse instead of a coach.

Earl Staedtler la Stylo

I am coming to meet you and Irina and will answer your letter personally."

For Luria and Sun Hall

Luarin Bowker

The letter was sent and Luarin follow it as faster as she could. She arrived at Shinnen Purileus but there was no one there and now she had orders to attack Thar Gortauth where she could die, before hugging her girl again.

My beloved Irina,

I am going for a tough battle and could not leave without sending you this letter. Earl Stedtler told me you both are in love, and asked permission to marry you. I believe he already told you about his inttentions and I need to say he seems to be a good man, loyal and trustfull. If that is your wish, my darling, you have my permission and my blessing. I only hope to survive this battle to see you again. Fortunatelly, Shinnen Purileus is so close that I will be able to meet you frequently and perhaps, live enough to see my great-grandchildren. You might show this letter to Earl Staedtler if that is your wish. Be happy my dear girl.

With all my love.

Your grandma, Luarin.

She asked a maid to send the letter before leading her unit to the battlefield. A huge horde of abominations was waiting for her...
