Dürion walked through the halls full of busy servants. The decoration of the Dragon's Nest was going through another reformulation. First he had gotten rid of everything that was left as a memory of his father or Lady Rain. Now, the new decor was a responsibility to his future wife and it was better not to create a young child through a grim spectacle of trophies from defeated enemies. Only his private office was still dark, always quiet and peaceful.

Nesrah: "Then, I must serve your brother now?"

Dürion Eyolf: "Did you serve someone, Nesrah? You're an old sorcerer. Do as you wish..."

Nesrah: "I thought you would claim the position. What happened?"

Dürion Eyolf: "Do you really think they care? Most of them are more than happy to never have to see or hear my father again. Why do you think they would like another Erik? A worse version!? Sirion is a different place now and I never intended to rule this realm as my favorite toy. I'm rich... I have Trinbar, a good wife and a child. I don't care with the family affairs, with the power struggle... I don't have patience to join the Council and yell at them as he did until everything works as his wishes. I've always been in the shadows -- never by incompetence but by preference. If my young brother wants to shine, that's about him. I believe that's why his name is Edric and why he was was chosen by our father."

Angered by the brief encounter with the sorcerer, Dürion closed the door and returned to the corridors. Maybe his young wife could change his mood. Maybe she could understand that he had other priorities. Unlike his father, he was pleased to be rich and have no worries.

Dürion Eyolf: "Eating good, sleeping soundly. That's all I need..."

Anne heard what her future husband said in the corridor and quietly approached him. Her body had partially returned to the old form and, remaining as a reminder of the pregnancy, leaving a pair of generous breasts. Her little dragon was a quiet child, giving her time to rest between the hard work of making that gloomy house a real home.

Anne: "Sleep deeply is enough for you, my dragon?"

She smiled, approaching a little bit more, embracing him in a careful hug. Among the many things she had to get used to was that Dürion used to have his space, but gradually, the space between the couple was becoming smaller.

Anne: "It is good that we take these quiet days. Our son is getting smarter day after day... soon he will be around you with questions about the wars you fought" - she shyly kissed his lips gently - "I hope that the lull will last a few more days... I admit, I also prefer to enjoy our home."
