Those are the side RPs during Ilya and Willem's wedding.

Roxas

Roxas was just back from Talerium when he heard about the tournament here in Falasan. He was happy for Lord Willem and Lady Ilya, it wasn't often that the happy couple would have such elaborate festivities.

Roxas's squire looked eager to run off, something about mist or some such. The day seemed fairly clear though. The boy was good but easily distracted. Having nothing for him to do Roxas lets him go.

It was perhaps a bit early to start drinking but there seemed to already be many people at the tournament. The tournament looked to be far bigger than the one in Talerium by the time the contests got started.

Freidroch and Crip

Roleplay from Freidroch

Watching the various knights show off, he hears his name being called...

Sir Friedroch! Has you brother arrived yet? Or Dame Ilya?

Turning, the archer sees his friend and fellow Black Army member, Sir Crip. They embrace with a hug.

- No, Crip my friend. I have not seen him on the grounds. Dame Ilya and I just arrived this morning. I believe that she is at Duke Fatih's palace, making minor preparations for the wedding. Wait, Willem must be here, for Ilya spoke of seeing her parents and Willem was to accompany them from Menedor. I'm assuming that he'll join the tournament soon. Unless he is getting a case of cold feet. Both for the tournament and for the wedding. He need not fear either. He'll do his best in the tournament, but he hasn't really been training much lately. As far as his marriage, I'm sure that he'll do fine. You will be attending the wedding, won't you? I understand that it is to be held in the large gardens on Duke Fatih's grounds.

He looked back to a knight from Tara swinging at the practice dummies, severing one of them in two.

- Ooh. That would have hurt. Would you like to go to one of the local establishments, have one or two and talk of old times and of our new King?

Crip lead Freidroch away from the small arena and towards a reputable looking inn, The Tuchan Arms.

Freidroch Tinsley (Knight of Menedor)

Roleplay from Crip

Sat comfortably in The Tuchan Arms, Crip orders a large brandy.

Crip: You know, Sir Sycheus would have me drink ale rather than brandy! I fear he doesn't appreciate the finer flavour of such a drink. Now, what will you have, Friedroch, that we might toast our new King Reilwin!

Crip Grindle (Knight of Elroth)

Letter from Freidroch

Freidroch, looking at the large brandy that Crip ordered thinks for a moment then speaks to one of the servers...

- A good day it is. I'm not familiar with the wines of the Tuchan vineyards. Whatever it is that Duke Fatih drinks, bring a bottle to this table.

Turning back to his friend,

- A toast is in order, for our new King, for Duke Fatih, for Ilya and Willem.

Freidroch Tinsley (Knight of Menedor)

Freidroch Announcing

My brother, Willem Tinsley, has let me know that he will appear on the tournament grounds soon after daybreak. He's been busy with various wedding plans and has not had a chance to enjoy a drink or making new friends. He apologizes and hopes to correct that soon enough.

Freidroch Tinsley (Knight of Menedor)

Willem and Ilya Letters

Letter from Willem

My love,

Since the time is short until we are married, I wanted to send out another note, letting you know that I love you so.

I saw that my brother was in Tucha and I hope that he cared for your safety on the trip south.

Rest while you can, my dear, for the next few days will be very busy.

Yours,

Willem Tinsley

Letter from Willem

My one,

I have entered the tournament and hope to see you soon. I trained for 3 hours this morning, but didn't learn anything new.

Take care, my love.

Yours,

Willem Tinsley

Letter from Ilya

My Willem,

I'd like to see you when the sun sets. We could, perhaps, train together? I have not been learning anything in my training sessions, and I feel you could help me push a little harder. I'd be delighted to train sword with you, would be just like dancing...

I love you, my dear,

Ilya Bluelake

Letter from Willem

My dear, we can train together. I never thought of it like dancing, but I guess you're right.

I would love to dance with you forever, be it with dulled swords in our hands, or to musicians, or just alone, with the sounds of a babbling brook in the distance, on a dance floor of clover.

My one and only, you have made me so happy and I look forward to spending my life with you.

There are some things that I must attend to in town. I might not be available for training right as the sun sets, but, yes, we can dance in the arena together.

Willem Tinsley

Training

Roleplay from Willem

Willem met Ilya at the training area. She had suggested that they train together for she wasn't learning much. Her words were: "I'd be delighted to train sword with you, would be just like dancing..."

She was an archer, but could handle the sword, for he had seen her in battle. They picked up dulled swords from the pile and entered the arena. He deeply bowed to her, and she returned the gesture. He saw her, not as a warrior then, but as his bride. She was beautiful and he would be proud to call her his wife. He thought of the wedding, if all the arrangements had been made. Then she took a swing at his head. He pulled it back just in time. "Didn't learn much, huh?" he thought.

They circled for what seemed like an hour, but was only a minute or two. She thrust and he parried.

- So, my love, is this what marriage will be like?

- Some times. But once you get used to it, I think you'll like it. - She laughed playfully.

She held the sword high and let it come down towards his shoulder. He moved to the left and it glanced from his arm. He leveled his blade and stepped into her. She easily pushed the sword aside and let him step past. Then she swung the flat of the blade on his right calf, causing him to stumble. He reached back and pulled her down on top of him.

It moved from sword fighting to very close combat. Knowing that she was not a delicate tea cup, he wrestled with her. Some of the knights watching started to cat call and whoop it up. The sounds were distant in his ears. He heard her breathe, he saw her smile and whisper, "I love you." He let her roll him over, pinning him to the ground. He returned the whispered phrase.

If this was dancing, he was all for it.

Letter from Willem

My love,

Thank you for 'besting' me during training earlier. I am so glad that we are to be wed. The joy in my heart is actually causing me to not be able to find the words. Go figure that one... me, semi-speechless.

Rest well, my love, for the days ahead will be filled with many things to keep us busy.

I will gladly dance with you forever.

Willem Tinsley

Letter from Tyrion

Congratulations to Ser Willem and Lady Ilya, may they live long and never lose the love they have for each other. It has been an honor to stand among Ser Willem's friends in this event, but now I must say, it's time for the fun part. Eat, drink, be merry. Let us celebrate the marriage of two of the most outstanding people that I know on the grounds of the tournament!
