As Cael returned to the Sage for the third time, he was wondering if the old coot would actually manage to make something /this/ time..

As he handed over the Eagle Claws and Broken Sword, he also gave the sage his Rhunic silver coin.

"Here, take this. For Luck. But return it to me." He looked so menacing when he said this that the sage was somewhat taken aback.

As the sage shuffled away, Cael pondered his response should the man fail again. It would most likely be violent. Or messy. Or why not just go for both...

After what seemed an eternity, there was an inspired sounding "AHAH!" from where the sage was tinkering, followed by a small explosion.

The begrimed sage returned, looking dazed but happy. He had something wrapped in a cloth.

"Ahm, yes, I got somethin' for you young man," the sage said. "First, your coin," he continued, handing it back gingerly, "and now, I present to you the Blessed Nightblade of Destruction!"

The sage unfurled the weapon and presented it to Cael, before sitting down for a breather on a nearby stump.
