The Black Hammer of Flame was discovered in one of the many abandoned shelters in Vatrona used by peasants as refuge from monsters and daemons during the many past invasions. When the threat subsided and the shelters were no longer needed, people put the unpleasant episode out of their minds. The Hammer was forgotten, but it did not cease calling out to be used. While no mortal creature would heed its call, dark beings living in the depths of the mountain did... and they came.

Many freemen worked to spread word of the undead activity within the Vatronan underground. The adventurer Hiroshi Murakama was able to track these undead creatures to their lair in the old shelters, and put the abominations to rest once more. With the Hammer freed from their evil influence, perhaps it can be turned to better uses.

Or perhaps it still calls, waiting for the right soul to wield it once more...
