Kraake
Description
Situated north of the great irrigated southern plains, Kraake is covered with dry grasses and small shrubs, atop small but rugged hills. On these hills, local farmers struggle to provide enough food for the region's primary vocation: mining. Precious and practical metals of all types can be found across the region, providing a substantial income for the region's nobility.
The main town of Kraake is a frontier wasteland collection of mud brick huts and dry dusty paths and roadways. Saloons and other seedy establishments are scattered about , the townsfolk are fiercely independent rogues and scoundrels. The law around the town of Kraake is whatever the local Baron can scrounge together. A mix of Heen and Mesh desert and plains culture provides the melting pot. Camels and riders , caravans and turban clad cloaked figures move back and forth between the two realms. Sandstorms are frequent and so are the locusts that arrive every late summer to eat what little scrub that is farmed in this dry and unforgiving blighted landscape.
