Life

Origins

Ramiel Avis was born in the family estates in Ciarin Tut during the last full moon of the year.

Emergence and Civil War

Upon his seventeenth birthday, he left the family mansion and traveled to the manor of Countess Trivaria Dravean and became her Knight. Joining the Imperial Border Guard, Ramiel served as any other Knight would, eventually he was picked to be Vice-Marshal before the Imperial Guard was disbanded. Transfered to the Silver Hammers of Tyr, sponsored by Duke Amaury Capet of Askileon, Ramiel met with one of his childhood friends, Mattias Bowker, who introduced him to the Duke.

Ramiel served the majority of the Lurian Civil War with the Silver Hammers and was there when the Rebel City of Giask fell to the Lurian forces thanks to Duke Capet's brilliant strategy. It heralded the beginning of the end of the Civil-War. Finally having retaken the rest of the Duchy of Giask from the rest of the Rebel Forces that were starting to flee in earnest to the Rebel Vassal Realm of the Grand Duchy of Fissoa, Ramiel started studying the Duke-Marshal's military tactics and battles.

The Ducal Revolt and the Invasion of Fissoa

After thirty-one days of service, and in light of his friendship with several notable persons, Ramiel was made Count of Nid Tek to replace his friend Mattias who was made Marquis of the newly retaken townsland of Outer Giask during the Lurian Civil War. A short time afterwards, he witnessed Queen Alanna Anaris ban his friend and mentor from the realm on charges on treason. Keeping his head down and speaking only of loyalty when asked, Ramiel transfered from the Silver Hammer of Tyr to the Golden Sword of Luria and again got himself introduced to the Duke-Marshall, Koli Bedwyr the new Duke of Askileon and Royal Marshal.

The start of the Second Lurian Civil War between Pian en Luries and the rebel Grand Duchy of Fissoa saw the Golden Sword respond to the aggression by invading Fissoan lands.

Ciarin Tut Guardians

History

The Ciarin Tut Guardians were the first unit that Ramiel Avis commanded, though under the name of Personal Guard. For their service, they were given the honour of bearing Ciarin Tut's name and continued to use it until Autumn of Dwilight Year 18. Since before the Invasion of Giask during the Lurian Civil War, the Ciarin Tut Guardians were primarily made of recruits from the Silver Pikemen of Askileon and the Heavy Tekian Halberdiers from Nid Tek. After the Second Lurian Civil War between Pian en Luries and the Grand Duchy of Fissoa, the Ciarin Tut Guardians were made completely from Silver Pikemen of Askileon and were at the forefront of the military forces of the realm. Up until its disbandment, the costs of running the Ciarin Tut Guardians were paid for by the Duke of Askileon.

Roleplay
Ramiel looked at the Ciarin Tut Guardians as they formed up for the last time.

"Battle-Brothers, you have served me well, you have served the Kingdom well. But more than that, you have served Tyr and Zisa well. We have been through seven different campaigns in six different Armies. First, we served with the Imperial Border Guard during the Civil War after we had joined the realm proper from my fathers estates in Ciarin Tut. We defended Ciarin Tut from a horde of Undead abominations. And for that, we were granted the honour of being known as the Ciarin Tut Guardians from Countess Trivaria herself.

Next we went to Giask as part of the Silver Hammers of Tyr under Marshal Amaury Capet, and it was US who were the first to climb the ladders and reach the top of the walls. It was US who was first to storm the next walls, and it was US who led the assault on the Keep itself.

Then after the Silver Hammers of Tyr, we joined the Golden Sword of Luria under Marshal Koli Bedwyr. Again we saw action in the Duchy of Giask as we fought to retake its lands from the Abominations. And eventually we once again found ourselves against a human foe. The Fissoans. We led the Vanguard and we were the first to be bloodied by the Fissoan armies.

Next, we joined the Paladins of Tyr, this time with myself as Marshal, and we again defended the lands of men from the abominations of the dark. Though this was a short time, still we preformed admirably and let no province be lost for too long.

Soon after the Succession of Giask and Luria Nova, we joined the Eastern Sun under several different Marshals and eventually again Marshal Koli and finally once again under myself. Again we found ourselves at ends with the foul abominations and again we kept them at bay. And in our darkest hour when the army fell apart with the revolt of Poryatown, we stood firm. We held the line.

And now, now I see you as Crusaders of the Path! As strong in deed and action as you are faithful to the Gods and the Path. And again we have held the line, we have stood firm when other units broke. We beat back the darkness again and again and again.

I could not ask for braver, stronger, or more faithful men. And yet, our journey together is at an end.

You stand here today as a legacy of a name. A name that has only included Heavy Tekian Halberdiers and Silver Pikemen from Askileon. Only the best trained and equipped have joined this unit, and I am proud of each and every one of you. We have lost many brothers in our long fight. But not, it is time to stop.

You nineteen will be remembered as the last of the Ciarin Tut Guardians. To each of you I offer you service with my estates and my house, and to each I give you a gift.

As your Liege and your Marshal, I thank you for all your hard work. Go now and settle in your farms. Take up the life of the Civilian and rest assured your service guarantee's your place in the Eternal War."

Ramiel watched as they as one shouted an old adage from ages past.

'"Strength and Honour"

"Strength and Honour. May the Gods watch over you all."
