Avalon/Roleplay Section/Soulreaver/Part Three
“Why did you call me Soulreaver?”
“I need your help master Gwydion to find the mirror of Urion to remove the curse that haunts me.”
“I had heard about it when I returned to Sirion and found you gone”
“Yeah my brother needed my help here so I travelled to Beluatarra
“And who is this next to you?”
“I’m Minsc and I’m the friend of Soulreaver an agreed to help him with his quest”
“So if you say so but Soulreaver do you even know where the mirror is?”
“Yes it is in a city in the mountains nord of Ippemtabel”
“Then I know which city you mean, it is called ‘the city of the ancients’. But it isn’t in the mountains but beneath it.”
“That isn’t possible a city under mountains”
“That’s strange you don’t believe in ancient cities but you do believe in talking hamster Minsc of the Pelgrim family”
“ How do you know who I am?”
“I know everybody who has ever been on the east continent”
“Can you two stop this? Master Gwydion can you tell us what you know about the city”
“ Not much, I know the city was buried under the mountains by the gods, because they punished the people who lived there, it is a shame it was the greatest city of his time. But the people where ignorant and they wanted power, they even found a way to steal some treasures of the gods and I think they got their hand on the mirror you want that way. So the gods send earthquakes and storms to bury the city and seal its secrets within.”
“So the only thing we have to do is go there and get the mirror”
“You would think the gods would bury the city and just leave it there, I thought you were smarter”
“But what is the problem then, it can’t be that bad”
“Not if we all had a hard head like yours Minsc”
“Why are you two bickering, please master Gwydion continue with your story”
“Ok there is a way to get into the city but it is through a huge labyrinth that is filled with deadly traps and vicious demons, nobody ever got through the labyrinth not in one piece anyway”
“But how will we get into the city that way: Minsc said after listening very carefully”
“I can get you through the traps and it’s also possible to evade most of the demons”
Soulreaver didn’t like the way he said that so he asked the question that lay on his lips: “What do you mean with MOST of the demons”
“Just like the word says I can get you past some but not past all of them there are too many and you will have to fight some that will be guarding special entrances.”
Soulreaver looks at Minsc and asks: “So Minsc still eager to go with us”
“Yeah why not I’ve been fighting undead and monsters for this long, a demon shouldn’t be that hard”
“Ok then we are ready what is the shortest way master Gwydion”
“There are two entrances the one closest by is the one on top of the highest mountain in Pel Mark”
Soulreaver and Minsc looked at eachother and said: “ok to Pel Mark it is.”
