Xaero and Kain

Kain enters the palace in Orombo to see his cousin Xaero. He walks upstairs to his room and finds him training with his sword, trying to get more practice with his demoniac abilities
"Xaero, we have to talk...", Kain says.
"You look quite frightened... What's up?"
"Well, do you remember the time in Portion when we were a nice common rich family?" Kain asks.
"Hey, look. It was wrong what you did that time with me, but it's okay now. Don't worry about that..."
Kain continues, "No, it's not that. Do you remember Jessica?"
Xaero's face gets suddenly very sad
"...of course i do. Your sister died while you were hunting... Long time ago...."
Kain quickly says, "Yeah.... well.... not exactly...."
"What do you mean with not exactly?"
"I mean that we also thought she died... There was not any undead who killed her... My father got angry with her because she said she wouldn't marry the prince of Oritolon... Then they went hunting and my father threw his own daughter to the river, thinking she wouldn't survive. But she did. Two months ago i discovered the story, because i met accidentally the house where a poor family was healing her after the river "accident"... She never returned home and we were all told she died. Even my father still thinks that. It's driving him crazy, by the way... But the thing is she went away. And you'll never say where she is right now..." Kain explains, as he looks away, somewhat shamed.
Xaero can't accept this so quickly and he's still thinking and trying to assimilate what he has heard.
"You mean seriously she is alive? And how could you know?"
"Well, i saw here two days ago...", Kain explains.
"What? Do you mean you have seen your sister, the only person who ever loved me as a relative, instead of the hate your stupid family felt for me, and you never told me?"
Xaero gets the sword he has been practicing and goes right straight ahead to Kain swordfighting very hard. Kain can hardly avoid the weapon.
"Stop that! I can take you to see her... But there's a problem... She hasn't got money and she has been working as a whore...", Kain stammers out.
"ARGGHHH!!! Stupid Serra Family! We both are counts of cities and she's a whore! What are we doing here?!?! Let's see her NOW!", Xaero yells.
Kain interrupts, "Well, think about your reputation...It won't be good if..."
Xaero gets his sword again and pulls it under Kain's heart. He has placed his sword already three centimeters into his chest.
Xaero, angrily says, "Another stupid comment like that and you won't be able to breath anymore...”
Xaero followed by Kain get their horses and start their travel to Cteduul.
Both cousins enter the capital riding their horses. Kain guides Xaero through the streets till they arrive the burdel.
"Where is she?!" asks Xaero violently to his cousin.
"Room 219" answers the hero responds.
Xaero starts running upstairs while he thinks about how could her appearance be. Already 10 years have passed since the last time he saw her... He arrives at the door of the room 219 and knocks. Jessica opens the door with a big smile and suddenly his face changes to surprise and fear at the same time.
"Xae...Xaero..."
"Oh... Jessica..."
Neither can believe it as Xaero gives a big hug to Jessica. She is crying and he's barely able to hold back tears himself.
"Where have you been, Jess? Ten years now... Why didn't you return?" asks the count.
"Oh, Xaero, you're a count you shouldn't be talking with me...", Jessica softly cries.
"The last time someone said that i picked my sword and nearly killed him. He's standing right behind me..." sais Xaero looking to an embarrassed Kain.
"But..." Jessica tires to say.
"I don't want to hear stupid things about reputation or something like that. Reputation can be found on the battlefield and that's it!" sais Xaero growing angry.
"I'm going to get you out of here NOW."
"And do you have a better place, by any chance?" asks Jess.
"Are you kidding? The palace of Orombo and the one of Norjke is your own house. Without doubt." answers Kain form behind.
"Finally my cousin is starting to think on his own... Let's get out of here". A big smile crosses Xaero's face.
Although he is very happy to see his cousin again, she's thinking about the life in another palace. But she knows it's impossible...
The three relatives step out onto the street and the peasants look on in disbelief, they can't believe that two counts are with a whore.
"But before I leave I have to see someone..." says Jessica.
"That’s fine, but let me join you, I don't want to lose you now that I’ve found you..."
Jessica doubts it, but she thinks that she won't be able to deny him that now...
"It's OK..."
"Well I have to go to Norjke now. The duel with CtD left me a bit wounded now. I have to rest for a while..." says Kain and leaves with his horse towards the mountain-region. While Kain is riding home, Jessica and Xaero are now riding on the count's horse through Cteduul...
... to the Ministry of Finances.
