Arian, the last of the Druids

Arian has been a Druid for most of his life, leaving home at the age of 12 to persue the Order. At that time, over 40 years ago, the Druids were well known and followed by about half the population. That was until the great invasion of the Monsters, and the fall of the great Druid Order about 5 years ago.

Arian, learned early on there's much more to life than what we all think there is. He realized, the teachings he was being shown were true and real. He learned that all men are of a devine creation, but that there were those who chose a path of evil and things of another world that brought that evil to a whole new level. So he stayed on. He was not the best Druid ever, but he was very well rounded. He studied, and progressed well. Until one day, a Druid by the name of Max discovered that a Couldren Creature (one of the fiercest Nethworld Creatures) had breifly appeared in the hall of study high above in the 25 story hall. This disturbing news brought the Order of Druids to a halt. One of their own was dabling in one of the most forbidden summonings ever to be outlawed. A Couldren Creature is similar to a dragon, only instead of breathing fire, they suck your soul from your body, and there's no stopping them. Immediately the druids began inspecting who may have done this. The more they searched, the more frequent the Couldren Creatures were appearing and vanishing, returning to the Netherworld.

One day, they were to call out the Druid by doing the circle of 5 spell, but before they could, the Evil Druid had finally gotten the summoning right, and the Couldren Creature was set loose in the Hall of Study in the layer of the Druids. One by one, all the Druids were destroyed. Max, one of the 5 druids forming the circle of 5, in his fear, fled the Druid Order never to return. Arian's mentor, Sir Drakemon the head of the imprompto circle worked quickly with Arian to start a spell to return the Couldren Creature to the Nethworld. Before the spell could be completed, Sir Drakemon's sould was taken, then Pikemish, then Satters and finally Lady Catrina. The only one standing left of all the Druids was Arian. Who, suprisingly was not afraid. He stood, summoned a Schriek to protect him. A Schriek counters the soul stealing of a Couldren Creature by Screetching and putting the Couldren Creature in great pain, thus not allowing him to steal souls. Meanwhile, Arian found a spell in the Whispering Grove book and sent the Creature back to the Netherworld, along with the Schriek.

From that day on, Arian swore to uphold the Druid Order and maintained the secrets of the Druids, and all their Catalogs for posterity.

One day, towards the end of the Monster Invasion, Arian had visited the Shade of Sir Drakemon at the Water Pools in the Misty Marsh’s of Cteduul. He was baffled as to why the Monsters had hung around so long after their defeat. After meeting with the Shade, Arian was shown a man (Hector), a woman (Jessica) and a dying golden tree (The Colony Tree). Of course, at the time, Arian did not know any of the people, or what the tree was. All of the mysteries of the tree's powers were revealed, however, Arain could not understand it all and how it all fit together. Thus is the curse of visiting a Shade, sometimes you leave with more questions than you come with, sometimes, you see something terrible ahead in your future, which is a price to pay to try and help mankind.

Once Arian knew what the man in the vision looked like, he set out on a mission for the next 3 months collecting information on all the regions surrounding the landscape seen in the vision and what history he could find out about the Monster Invasion including the Golden Tree he saw. He spent much of that time researching archives in the Hall of Study. Once he was fairly certain what he must do, he set out on a mission to find the man in the vision.

When he figured out who he was looking for, Arian appeared to Hector, the first human contact he'd had since that fateful night in the Hall of Study. He knew what Hector and the woman he loved from the vision would fullfill the prophacy given to him by the Shade of Sir Drakemon. Once they fullfilled the prophacy, Hector and Arain returned to their layer in Norjke to find it destroyed. All of the documentation was hidden by Arian in a warp spell, allowing him to retrieve the history of the Druids and bring them to the new Order of the Druids built by Hector in Wilwau of Avalon.

Hector, after seeing the horrors and suffering brought on by the creatures of the Netherworld, decided to devote his life to stopping that from happening again. He founded the Church of the Druids in Wilwau, and has preached ever since.

After a short training session, giving Hector the basic knowledge needed by a Druid, he left in search of some lost records and some truths yet unanswered in his mind. Leaving the Druid Order entrusted to Hector. Arian has not been seen from for several months.
