WAR WITH REDSPAN OVER! Victory!

It was announced today that conflict between RedSpan and Ash Sea Islands has ended and that a treaty of peace has been signed between the two parties. The treaty calls for the cessation of hostilities, borders to be drawn where they currently stand, and restrictions on travel. With the end of this conflict, the role that RedSpan played in the brutal capture of Ash'rily has been put paid.

Cheers Greet Falasan Troops

As they travel north on the road back to their homes, ASI paid tribute to their Falasan allies and the decisive role they played in the campaign. Talk circulated amongst ASI troop leaders regretting to see the Falasan troops go. This editor and his family have a personal debt of honor to Falasan that must be repaid some day. It was truly an honor to serve alongside them.

Sullenport Quickly Comes Under Control

The takeover of Sullenport proceeded without looting or destruction and was a fairly peaceful affair. ASI control over the region was accepted fairly readily and the inhabitants did not have the heart for a protracted struggle. Some seemed relieved at the change of hands. Some Abingtonian troops wandered into the city but it was uncertain if it was a planned attack that had failed to get off of the ground, a mistake, or a wrong turn on the road to Stargard. Efforts are underway to clean the city, remove the remaining elements of the former government, and rebuild facilities.

King Makes Statement

The King made a statement to ASI nobles today about the unclear, but brighter, future ahead for ASI. Taking the liberty of paraphrasing the King's words, he reiterated that ASI has agreements and that that ASI honors its agreements, even those that have been forced upon it. He noted that some of these agreements still provoke harsh feelings amongst ASI nobles. They have, and will continue, to prevent full relations with certain neighbors. But ASI is an honorable realm and will not backtrack on signed treaties or make excuses for why they no longer apply as was done to us in the past.

Editorial

The war with RedSpan is over. Victory has been achieved. ASI, with the help of noble friends, restores some of the dignity that was stripped from it. It did so without resorting to brutal or underhanded tactics. It did so without devastating innocent civilians. We have been fighting for a very long time now against great odds and it is good to achieve success without dishonoring ourselves. But the best thing to come from the conflict was the opportunity to fight alongside honorable friends who will not be forgotten.
