Massive Street Party in Ser'quea

Mapan Ale Fuels the Chaos

It's been just one day since the magnificent Coronation of Doc's Revenge in the Palace of Ser'quea, but already gifts have been pouring into the Capital from Nobles across the lands! Of particular note is the gift that Baron Malice of Mapo presented to the new King in the Great Square yesterday. Doc's Revenge watched from afar as Malice revealed the contents of the massive pool he had installed in the Square to be none other than Mapan Ale! Malice suggested that the new King would have endless fun either bathing in it or drinking it - or both! The King however declined to keep it all for himself and he graciously announced that all Ashlanteans were allowed to drink from the Royal Pool!

In the ensuing mayhem caused by the rapid consumption of the Mapan Ale by the masses, Malice quietly made his way to the Taran's Head Inn, sulking that his great gift should be squandered on the peasants! When we caught up with Malice's Squire later on, he informed us that Malice was merely sulking because he had been bested in a duel by a peasant that morning. Unluckily for the Squire however, Malice heard the lies put forward by his Squire and well - he won't be giving us folks at the Chronicle any more interviews for a long, long time!

BREAKING NEWS: Doc's Revenge Primus Coronated in Ser'quea

King Doc's Revenge was coronated in Ser'quea today. The nobles of Ash Sea Islands selected him in a bid to put an experienced military and diplomatic hand at the helm during the historic and turbulent events of the present day. Indicating a desire for stability, the two closest competitors, Nautilus Spiliz and Talius Sargerus Valorian were both former monarchs and men of renown who are known quantities in the kingdom. Silver Stone and Wallace trailed with less than 10% of the vote. When asked, Ashlanteans on the street seemed pleased with the selection.

Looking for Honor and Glory?

Recruits Welcomed

If you are looking to prove your mettle on the battlefield then Ash Sea Islands is the center of the world. Ash Sea Islands is a tight-knit brotherhood, always outnumbered but never outfought. Currently invaded from all sides we have seen multiple victories in Worav, Yacon, and the historic defense of Ash'rily. These victories in spite of our numbers. In Ash Sea Islands, every soldier is treated as an equal.

Vultures Descend on Aja

Talerium Sneaks in under the Skirts of Abington

Taking advantage of Ash Sea Island's valiant fight to survive, forces from Talerium swooped into Aja unexpectedly to pick crumbs from Abington's table. Ash Sea Islanders could only shake their heads and wonder. The willingness of so many minnows to see the piranha dominate remains a mystery.

Abingtonian Debacle In Ash'rily

Forces Stumble Away from the Walls of Ash'rily in Defeat

The main body of the invading Abington army met a crushing defeat today at the hands of the citizens of Ash'rily. The huge ill-prepared mob from the south advanced on the beleaguered city expecting a quick victory and sacking. To face them, the newly appointed Duke Wallace pushed forward a force made up of young boys, old men, and a core group of hardy Knights who had been caught behind enemy lines during the invasion. The outnumbered defenders looked out in awe as the massive force advanced on the walls of the city. The array of siege engines, banners, and men was an astounding sight.

Duke Wallace roused the populace and steeled their spines for the coming onslaught. As the invaders drew near the archers poured volley after volley into the enemy lines and the enemy fell as if by a scythe. Hundreds died but the advance continued. As infantry approached the walls, the citizen defenders poured boiling oil and dropped stones onto the heads of the invaders causing some to turn and flee.

As the bodies piled up at the base of the wall, massive numbers of siege engines were brought forth and began to pound the walls of the old city into dust. The critical point had been reached and the first of the invaders cleared a spot on the wall but could not hold their position as Duke Wallace closed the gap. The tide had turned and Abingtonians began to stream away from the battlefield, their leaders shouts failing to turn them back toward the slaughter.

Thousands of Abingtonians had been killed including one of their heroes, Feldric Selemnir, whose body was recovered under a flag of truce. As the Abingtonian army was slinking away in defeat, a noble rode forth to declare that there would be a "reckoning" for the events of the day. If there is to be a "reckoning" for the men of Ash'rily then it will only be a "reckoning" for doing their manly duty to defend their own homes.
