Total War!

Brothers Once More
14 February 2011 (Kazan) by Joseph Ironheart, Knight of Pedrera
At a natural course of events, the Sultanate of Asena and Westmoor have joined into an alliance once more. The reinforcement of our old pact, has proven the simplemindedness of those who thought that our ties of brotherhood could be severed so easily. Westmoorians and Asenians have fought side by side against common foes, the blood of warriors who died in our mutual struggles is a permenant testimony for that.
Duke of Kalmar...Captured?
11 February 2011 (Kazan) by Joseph Ironheart, Ambassador of Sultanate of Asena
In the first meaningful battle between the Sultanate and OI. Paul Aelradir, High Samurai of Obsidian Islands, Duke of Kalmar has been captured by our valiant units. Having the duke of their capital and only city captured, is indeed an ominous sign for a realm that thrives on backstabbing its neighbors. Betraying Old rancagua in the past, and now betraying the Sultanate (for the third time!) at present. Perhaps our friends in the islands will redeem their honor one day by removing their backstabbing leadership.

War!
11 February 2011 (Kazakh) by Joseph Ironheart, Ambassador of Sultanate of Asena
After clearly informing them that they are not welcome in our lands. A host from OI arrives at Kazan, looting and robbbing the very people, whom they claim to be going to liberate. They did not even declare war, simply sneaking into others' domain, and starting to loot. Sultan Alparslan brother to the late Sultan Korkut, declared war upon them for defiling the lands of Asena in such a dishonorable fashion.
New Sultan
10 February 2011 (Kazan) by Joseph Ironheart, Ambassador of Sultanate of Asena
Following the death of Sultan Murphy, both Grand Vezir Leandros and Lord Alparslan ran for the election. Both nobles are widely respected throughout the Sultanate and are scions of past royal Asenian families. Ultimately Lord Alparslan emerged the victor, many were happy to cheer the coronation of the new Sultan even the Grand Vezir himself. The courier wishes to take the chance to wish all the best for our new monarch.
Sultan Dies!
7 February 2011 (Oroya) by Joseph Ironheart, Ambassador of Sultanate of Asena
Our Sultan, Murphy Guardians has passed away mysteriously this morning. Some rumours circulate concerning a stroke, other more fanciful ones go as far as poisoning or assassination. We have talked to Vezir Farouk "This is nonesense, the Sultan has died peacefully at his bed. This is the fate, which Asena has decreed upon his late Majesty" Well, I guess we have to take his words for granted, but we can't help it if rumours continue to grow.
Closing Borders
30 January 2011 (Oroya) by Joseph Ironheart, Ambassador of Sultanate of Asena
Today with permission from the Sultan, I have drafted a treaty for closing our borders against OI. It was indeed a difficult step. Initially we tried to ignore their priests who continued preaching in Kazan with no permission, despite several requests to their Emperor to remove them. However, our patience had reached it's limit when an infiltrator Zesis Leonidas tried & failed to break into the tax offices of Pedrera. That was the last straw, and a closed border treaty was put into effect immediately.
New King At Westmoor
27 January 2011 (Oroya) by Joseph Ironheart, Ambassador of Sultanate of Asena
After a widespread protest, Westmoor's former monarch was removed. Flaylen Hlessi, Lord General of Westmoor, and Duke of Oligarch was elected as the new Sovereign. On behalf of the nobles of Asena, the courier wishes to offer the best of luck to the new King.
