Argent Order/Oaths

At the moment there is only one Oath that is undertaken within the Argent Order. That is the Oath of Faith, and is recited by every aspirant before becoming a full member within the Order. Take note however that the Oaths taken by Silver Archons will reflect the number of Silver Archon they were overall, while the rest of the Echelon Archons will have their oaths recorded by the number of Archon they were of that Echelon since the Reformation of the Argent Order. So far there have been Nine Silver Archons, the Ninth having been the one to Reform the Argent Order in present-day Dwilight.

Oath of Faith

Unlike Oaths or Creeds recited within other Faiths, the Oath of Faith is intended to be unique to the one who recites it. It is an oath that any full member of the faith should have recited, and should come from one's heart. An elaborate ceremony is not required for one to take the Oath of Faith, all that is truly required is that it be administered by an Archon, who will copy it down and add it to the archives here.

Silver Archons

• Zanaras Tian, Ninth Silver Archon of the Argent Order
  • "I realized some time ago that my way in life was not what I thought it to be. That what seemed to be a path to Order, was no more than a well veiled road to Chaos. Upon this realization I was lost. I needed a new road, but none seemed available. Sometime later I was visited by an old friend. He brought to me a most interesting book. The Silver Tome as I have come to call it. It is a book on the Argent Order, written throughout the eras in the tongue of each of those who added to it. It depicts the very beginnings of the Faith. The discussions of Alexius, Relinon, and Telani, written by a person I can only assume was Saint Telani herself. It taught me of the three sides of all conflict, and how religion ties into each of them. It showed me how the ancient Argent Order was built, as well as how fluid it was.
    
    "The Silver Tome offered me a new path. One that I have come to be very familiar with, but one I still known very little about. I stand here now, knowing that Chaos has littered my path, reassured that Order has always been with me, and knowing that there is a very fine line between the two.
    
    "May the Saints Alexius, Relinon, and Telani guide me in my mission to make instill Order where there is none and root out Chaos from wherever it may hide.
    
    "I take this Oath submitting myself to the fight against Chaos, aligning myself with Order. May Vita shine upon me, may Nex swiftly visit my foes, and may the Saints watch over me."

Archons

• Arden Fury, First Archon of the Echelon of the Sword
  • "I, Arden Fury, have joined the Argent Order so that I may support the battle against Chaos in these lands. I understand that Chaos is always around us, always trying to overcome that which we have created. I believe myself to be true of heart and mind, dedicated to the fight against Chaos in all it's forms. I realize that Chaos need not be destroyed however, but that it may also be reformed. In the names of Vita and Nex, the eternal forces of Life and Death, and the Saints Alexius, Relinon, and Telani, I take this Oath, submitting myself to the fight against Chaos in these lands."

  • "I, Padraig Havershim, pledge myself in flesh and spirit, steel and bone, to the Argent Order and to standing against the forces of Chaos in any and every shape that they may take. When confronted with the forms and agents of Chaos, I shall redeem them where I may, and destroy them when I must. Of sound mind and heart, in the names of Vita and Nex, the eternal forces of Life and Death, and the Saints Alexius, Relinon, and Telani, I take this Oath, submitting myself to the fight against Chaos in these, and all, lands that suffer under their shadow."
