Chain of Command
In general, the chain of command will run something like this for military orders:
- Ruler
- General
- Marshal/Battlegroup Leader
- Soldiers
That's pretty much what it is here in Minas Ithil. Specifically, military orders go in the following hierarchy:
- King/High Marshal
- King's Council
- Marshals
- Soldiers
So if you get an order from someone higher up in the hierarchy, it overrides an order from lower down--the King and High Marshal can override each other, and everyone else; the King's Council can override the Marshals, if necessary. Marshals will usually only give orders to their duchies, but if the High Marshal and Ruler are both unavailable (whether wounded or simply not logged on), they can give orders to the whole army.
The chain of command is slightly different for non-military orders, and is more dependent upon the feudal hierarchy.

- Lord
- Knight
You are all strongly encouraged to socialize within your Duchy, and, if you have a liege lord, to get to know him well. He (or she) is the person you are sworn to serve before all others--even before the King. Generally, this won't be a problem, because your liege should also be serving the King, but if the two loyalties do come into conflict, consider where your true loyalty lies--and remember that you swore an oath to serve your liege.
