Priorities

It is not the responsibility of the Paladin Primus to dictate the goals of the realm. Instead, it is the Paladin Primus’ responsibility to wield the realm’s army in such a way as to achieve the goals set forth by the Pontifex.

That said, the history of our realm has been stained far too often with the blood of our children in the wake of looting, marauding, honor-less Lukon invaders. I would rather die fighting against such oppression and cruelty than live sitting comfortably alongside it. The future of our realm may well be written in the ink of more of our own blood, but blood that is shed in a relentless quest to restore this realm’s former glory and rightful place among the Colonies.

Time

Not every Troop Leader is able to act upon orders the moment they are issued (nor are they expected to do so). This is the reality in our medieval feudal world. For lack of a more unified system, orders will be issued based on “Server Time” as described on the BattleMaster wiki article on Time. Whenever possible, “advance” orders may be issued (i.e. effective on this future date, these are your orders). When necessary, re-communication of such orders will be the responsibility of each Battle Group Commander.

Battle Groups

The current Battle Groups and Battle Group Commanders will, for the time being, remain unchanged. Many troop leaders have joined and departed our realm since these Battle Groups were established. These Battle Groups will be reorganized and restructured soon.

Orders

Very few orders will be “All Troop” orders. Many will be based on Battle Group, troop combat strength, troop type, number of hours in your time pool or other factors. Some will even be specific to lieges and their aligned nobles.

Typical orders may look similar to the following: “Today is October 5th. On October 6th, all troop leaders commanding Cavalry units numbering more than 300 cs are to move to Alebad. Adopt the Line Settings described below. Please communicate your expected travel times to your Battle Group Commander.”

It is my hope that these changes will make orders easier to understand, follow and, when necessary, question.

The Senate of Alebad is an excellent resource. Comprised entirely of some of the most trusted and longstanding troop leaders, they serve our realm as the main advisory board to the Council. I intend to utilize their expertise and experience. I hope you will as well.

For the Glory of Alebad,
