Overview

According to Creation, the gods were born of the older gods (also called Influences), now dead or dormant. Although in power and nature they are all regarded as being divine, only three of the seven gods are considered worthy of worship and/or "godly" (as opposed to "demonic" or "otherworldly") in the Adgharhin traditions, with a growing trend to worship only Adaghar.

The Gods

Adaghar

  • Names: Adaghar, The Giver of Laws, The Judge, The Watchful Eye, Builder of Cities
  • Symbols: His symbols include the law book, the axe and the scepter.
  • Domains: He presides over justice, law, civilization; government, nobility.
  • Description: The mightiest of the gods, born of Strength and Order. As the centerpiece of the Adgharhinist religion, he is a common figure in art, architecture, literature and oral tradition. His word is unquestioned, his acts grand and magnificent, and his power an awe to behold. Worshipped primarily among the ruling class, Adaghar's temples also serve as public forums for debate and centers of administration and justice. He is reknowned for his fairness.

Omorthion

Omorthion was born of Earth and Sky. His symbols include the goblet, the horn of plenty, fruit, wine and wheat. He presides over festivals, trade, wealth, harvest and the rain.

  • Names: Omorthion, Bountiful Harvest, Full Moon, Filler of Bellies, Reaper of Grain
  • Symbols: Goblet, horn of plenty, wine, wheat.
  • Domains: Prosperity, festivals, the harvest, trade.
  • Description: Omorthion was born of Earth and Sky. He has one domain, and one domain only: prosperity. His patient and experienced touch causes the wheat fields of Arcachon to overflow with bounty, providing us the largest excess in the world. His business acumen fills our tax coffers. Omorthion loves, above all things, a good ale, a warm fire, and a balance sheet that screams "profit."

Senith

  • Names: Senith, The Lovers' Light, The Meadowlark, Composer of Songs, Muse of Poets
  • Symbols: Fife, harp, rose petals, rose thorns.
  • Domains: Music, art, sculpture, marriage, birth, love.
  • Description: Senith is the goddess of all that is developed, proper, and civilized in the world. She inspires great epics, moving operas, tender hearts, and masterpieces of sculpture. Her warm touch is a counterpoint to the sometimes stern fairness of Adaghar, and her worshippers occasionally tend to outnumber those of the other two gods.

Lesser Gods

Lesser gods include assistants and children of the gods of the Third Dynasty; they also include foreign deities and deities no longer worshiped in the Adgharhin traditions (or whose worship is forbidden).

Lyonnith and Lyonnhar

Bringers of the cycles of the day, The Twins, Reason and Resolve

The twin sisters Lyonnith and Lyonnhar create the day and night but always one with the other. They are the balance. That is why on the darkest night there is still some light and during the day there is still some darkness... Legends say that when they become one the world shall end. Dawn and dusk have traditionally been the times of worship as this is the time when the sisters meet and their paths cross.

Lyonnhar

Herself dark as night, brings the day. She is the black spot in the sky always visible where there is light. She leads the dead souls of those that are worthy back for a new life. They say she gave man will.

Lyonnith

Fair of face and hair, brings the night. She illuminates the night sky so people may still see. They say the moon and stars shine only for her. She awaits the dead. She gives the worthy dead a choice, to move on or try and go back and be reborn. They say she gave man the ability to think.

Inner Teachings of The Twins

The peasants and nobles praise the sister’s as two people whereas the highest level of priesthood know they are one. The normal people are not ready to accept a being that is both negative and positive, it is too much to ask for such small minds so until a time comes and the peoples of the lands can understand concepts outside of good/evil the priesthood will not release the truth as that could crush the sprits of man.

Erheas

Erheas, the Trickster, is born of Corruption and Chaos; he is the exact opposite of Adaghar.

Tark

Tark, the Warrior, born of Chaos and Death. In other faiths he is also known as Sartan.

Veen

Veen, the Depraved, born of Pain and Corruption.

Zilurahk

Zilurahk, Poison; she is born of Pain and Death.

Sarvlon

Sarvlon, Plague, is born of Corruption and Death.
