End of the Great War | |
Is it Really Over? With the Great War between the NA and SA finally drawing to a close after almost 6 years of the most stomach churning warfare ever to stain the continent many look back at the events of the age trying to identify the turning points in the endless war that lead to the defeat of the SA. Factors in favour of the NA
Factors in favour of the SA
However through a combination of luck, skill and, as one SA man put it “total disregard for honour” the NA has managed to prove who was the better super power and we can finally close the book on this chapter of our bloody history. |

Peaceful Perdan, Compliant Caligus | |
End of the Great War With the combined might of the NA breathing down their backs the few remaining members of the SA have agreed to some of the most unusual peace terms imaginable. As detailed in the Calganian Courier and the Rampant Lion the two nations will be surrendering regions to the victors, in the case of Caligus all their original territory, and will jointly share a much smaller version of Perdan’s original holdings. Doubtlessly this move is not well accepted by the majority of the two nations, who must see it as an insult and shameful end to the Great War, but as experts point out, what choice is there? |
What's next? | |
End of the Great War A major concern these days is that with entire generations knowing only battle what will happen now that the Great War is over. The War of Pandemonium has proven to be a starting distraction but realistically there’s little way for it to be dragged out for 6 years. So many wonder if the peace they’ve always dreamed of will finally be achieved but experts disagree. The consensus among the learned is that after such a long time fighting it is unlikely that the nations that remain will be able to sheath their swords for long. A poll of possible causes for the next war list, raiding the much reduced Perdan and Caligus as the primary means of releasing bloodlust, but anyone with money is betting on a falling out of the NA. It’s pretty much assumed that with peace declared it will only be a matter of time before either: a) one of the NA members are found to be harbouring ‘terrorists’, most likely Black Hand members if they can squeeze that in; b) or possibly it will be a mutual break down with rampant infighting across the board, c) some ceding somewhere on the continent (planned or otherwise) or possibly rebellion. Either way all believe that it’s only a matter of time before war again comes to the continent. |
