The Myth of Kybcyell
Kybcyell, if we are to believe the propaganda of those who invade Abington without just cause, is a Sovereign Realm with a Valiant Mission, attacked on all sides by cruel, aggressive Abington.

We must look closely at this Sovereign Realm. First, it is a matter of public record that this "realm" began as nothing more than a take-over of Wayburg, one of Abington's most influential Cities, by troopleaders primarily from Talerium and Minas Ithil.

Second, it is also a matter of public record that this Valiant Mission they are on is - as stated by their own nobles - to "destroy Abington piece by piece."

What, this author wonders, is "valiant" about a mission of war, conquest, destruction? Furthermore, how sovereign can a Realm be, when its sole purpose is entirely contingent on the utter annihilation of another Realm? True, Sovereign Realms can and do make such wars - but they are not founded on that basis.

As for the pity-card about Kybcyell being "attacked" by Abington, this is simply not going to fly. It is clear that this "realm" is not a realm at all, but merely a weapon. A weapon designed with one purpose - to stab Abington in the back, so that others can attack from other sides.

As long as Kybcyell exists only to attack and destroy Abington, Abington is completely right, just, and intelligent in defending herself.

Perhaps the situation can best be summed by Darez, a former "Kybcyell" noble who joined Abington recently.

"This entire war was just a distraction for ASI to accomplish their land grab, while the rest of us fought and died for their greed. We were all taken in by their lies..." he said, "... I have had enough of the lies and desception, and I am ready to admit the colony is and always has been a lost cause."

Ash Sea Islands Continues Invasion of Abington
Now that ASI has sent an army to takeover Wynford, they have shown that their desire all along was not to simply take "the islands," but to take all of Abington. Treaty agreements, black market trading - neither of these were anything more than a rhetoric barely covering an underlying greed for land, territory, and power.

One would hope that realms that consider the Ash Sea Islands an "ally" will reconsider their stance in light of this fact.

That is, unless they are too preoccupied with the idea of joining in in the conquest, the looting, the burning, raping and killing. There is no doubt that the very injustice and brutality of this war is what attracts some nobles to the cause of our enemies.

But it is our hope as well that such nobles are the minority, and that the majority of those who are currently still mislead into invading Abington are -- in the true sense of the word -- nobles.
