What should have been a much closer battle turned into a bloodbath when a large number of Abington and Redspan nobles failed to show up on the battlefield. Cagilan Imperial banners dominated the field, while the seven token Carelian nobles proved superfluous. 40 nobles from several realms were captured or wounded during the fighting. The use of the palisade reduced casualties amongst the invaders a great deal, and Atblane remained firmly in enemy hands.
