Zolan began life the same as the rest of his family, being tutored to work in the family business. He was being groomed to work out in the forests with the procurement of the wood, although he wasn't supposed to be directly cutting the wood, the commoners should be doing that; he instead chose to have a very hands on approach, sometimes actually assisting the commoners with moving the wood. It was not uncommon for Zolan's father to chastise him for doing "peasant work" when he was caught with his sleeves up, and an axe in his hand. Because of the way he worked, the commoners adored him. He would often invite a commoner to his table to eat, much to his father's disapproval.

Zolan began his noble career among fellow democrats of Vix Tiramora. As one of the few realms that would tolerate his open minded view towards commoners, it was the perfect place for him. He settled as a Knight of Leibo, a Knight without a lord. The first referendum he was able to participate in was for the Representative position of Leibo. He voted for Purrcious Gungnir, who won the election, aswell as the following Head of House election. The opportunity to essentially select his own liege was detrimental to his manner of thinking within Vix. He realised at that second that he was in the right place. Somewhere he could have a say.

Despite multiple attempts he was not able to secure a representative position. He did win in the votes on multiple occasions, but the region was required for other things, such as it being handed to another realm, or returned to it's rightful representative. He intended to persist though, as his personal expenses were ever increasing while his incomes were not.

During an election for Prime Knight, he received an enormous amount of votes. Being beaten by a small argin by Tywin Volvan, a likeminded noble who Zolan respected. He was immediately named Vice Marshal and from this he was content.

Zolan has never shied from battle. Having participated in almost every battle sinse his career had begun, he fought bravely and valiantly. After a number of successful hits on enemy nobles he had earnt a minor name for himself as a troop leader and his personal combat prowess was being constantly tested and improved.

Zolan originally took a melee focused approach. But quickly realised that front line fodder was not what he wanted for the men that he poured so much time into training and bonding with. Considering the immense amount of time he invested into his unit, he decided to equip them as cavalry, providing horses to his men. His cavalry are the strongest of Vix Tiramora and the bane of all those that oppose democracy.

On two accounts, once in Viseu and once in Tokat, Vix forces were so outnumbered that sacrifices had to be made to win the battle. Zolan was always first to raise his hand and step forward, luckily surviving both times with his life, but both battles were great victories.

After much time had passed, Zolan eventually did become Prime Knight. But at this time, most military decision were being made by Southern Alliance higher command. Although Zolan was a part of this command, he trusted his elder, and followed their advice. Although he learn a lot during this time, he never fully took command of Vix's force due to a lack of confidence in his own ability. He eventually abdicated the role in favour of allow Prime Knight Eros to take the position; a general Zolan had previously disliked but grew to respect, despite their differences.

A prestigious position, with much responsibility. With the Representative position also came the founder position of the Central Democratic Army, the sword of Vix. Aswell as the Representative position, the Head of House of House Timerat was also vacant. Zolan won both, despite strong opposition and to this day resides as the Head of House and Representative, aswell as the founder position within the army.

Childhood:

Zolan began life the same as the rest of his family, being tutored to work in the family business. He was being groomed to work out in the forests with the procurement of the wood, although he wasn't supposed to be directly cutting the wood, the commoners should be doing that; he instead chose to have a very hands on approach, sometimes actually assisting the commoners with moving the wood. It was not uncommon for Zolan's father to chastise him for doing "peasant work" when he was caught with his sleeves up, and an axe in his hand. Because of the way he worked, the commoners adored him. He would often invite a commoner to his table to eat, much to his father's disapproval.

His closeness to the common folk caused him much trouble within his family, both from his father and his siblings. One evening his father, after finding out that Zolan had become romantically involved with the daughter of one of the lumberjacks, ordered the lumberjack arrested. Zolan was ordered to forgo any relationship with the girl, if he were to step out of line the lumberjack would be executed. Zolan, though no match for his father, drew a sword and challenged his father to a duel to the death. His father accepted and they convened in the courtyard to duel. Zolan charged at his father with everything he had but received swift hits to the face from his father's pommel. Zolan, refusing to give up, kept climbing to his feet and charging at him again, and again, and again. Each time, just being knocked down. Blood was everywhere, his fathers pommel and hilt were stained red and Zolan's face and shoulders looked like he'd been dipped in dye. Finally, Zolan couldn't stand any longer. He lay there, a broken mess on the ground, covered in his own blood, sweat and dirt. His father, sword drawn, held it to his throat and kneeled down beside him and spoke.

"I may be the first to strike you down for this, lad. But I wont be the last" He sheathed his sword, and placed a hand on Zolan's cheek, propping his head up to look him in the eye.

"Peasants... they're not like you and I. They're simple folk, like the horses that pull our carts. If you strive to view them as equals you will be opposed by every noble that crosses your path. You're going to need to be able to fight better that this. I wont have my first son die in an alley with a slit throat. You're no longer working the trees. I'm having you enlisted within the guard. If you're going to fight for this cause, you're at least going to fight well."

Zolan was spared, as was the lumberjack, but he never met his love interest again. From then, he served in the Zadvar Vestiege, the Zatirri family military and received a military education.
