History
Saint Ricarius was the Count of a small, rural region in the plains of northern Atamara. He rose to prominence among his fellow Lords and Nobles throughout his distinctive lifetime through various deeds and characteristics.
He was a man well versed in the literature and writings of his time, he placed a high value on education and insisted on keeping a very large personal library on his estate. He funded the reproduction of hundreds of different writings and tomes, and wrote extensively in his personal time as well.
More prominently he became known for his fiercely outspoken nature in the King's Court and among the councils of his fellow Nobles. He was known for his oratory skill and gave many persuasive and emotional speeches. He often stood up for what he perceived were the rights of the Noble class against encroachments from any source.
He died at his estate at the ripe age 87. He died a much richer man than he was born, and expanded the boundaries and holdings of his County significantly. His personal library, however, was dispersed and scattered not many years after his death due to a war that saw his former estates ravaged.
