The Venerable Order of the Citadel

The basic points about it that I have developed so far are:

1) The gods created the earth from the choas of the void. 2) The gods created men to be their joy. 3) Men were unruley so the gods created a line of nobles to establish order and rule. 4) The nobility of Eston is the true line of those nobles and is destined by divine right to rule all men. 5) The dark creature spawned from the Chaos (a side effect of creation of the earth??) hated the men and the gods. 6) Therefore he encouraged other false lines of nobility and created a great Dragon from Chaos to seperate the gods from men. 7) This Dragon was not all powerful but he was bound to the heart of a man (here there is room for development of a tragic legend) and thus the gods could not smite it without unraveling creation or at least destroying mankind. 8) So the gods had to wait for a warrior to arise who could defeat the dragon. 9) When Marouane came along...not the perfect man, but the perfect warrior, they took his spirit to fight the dragon. 10) Marouane defeated the dragon by seperating the heart of the man from it, thus allowing the gods to smite the dragon. 11) Now the gods cannot speak to men directly (That would damage a mortal) but they can speak through the departed heroes (dead spirits). 12) Now the gods want to undo the harm done by false noble lines spreading: ie. they want to reestablish Eston as the true noble line. This may take years before the crusade could start. 13) The 'true noble line' may also include any of our allies that we discover the true noble line runs true in.
