Reset indentation since the text is getting pretty far over. Apology accepted of course. :) I went ahead and moved the content onto the Age page. Made some minor formatting adjustments but the content is largely the same. The page isn't too long, other ages are even longer, but I did leave some links commented out to where the content could be moved if any one section becomes too long. The names of the sections could be changed if you wish. I just called each section periods and named them rebuilding, inhuman infestation, and war. Not the best names but I like the alliteration for the increased rogue spawns. If there is nothing on the other pages you want saved then I'll go ahead and get rid of them --AbstractLogic (talk) 07:02, 18 December 2019 (CET)

:It looks good to me.  I like the names, and it looks like you pulled all the information over.  We need more maps for the new Age of War, but those can be looked at and inserted whenever.  I'm busy with my own writing at the moment, but will probably feel the roving bug to do more here again soon.  I dislike leaving a job undone, but I have other jobs that need doing too...so there is competition for my time.  Hehehe.  Anyways, thanks for making things clean and workable.  I'm sure my character will continue calling it an Invasion since I'm stubborn like that, but I'll play nice on the wiki and not make things difficult for you guys.  :)  --Medron Pryde (talk) 10:00, 18 December 2019 (CET)

Revision as of 10:00, 18 December 2019

Beluaterra History

The History Section on the Beluaterra page should contain six invasions and seven ages. Currently the island is in the seventh age and not the sixth. The heavy rogue presence was not an invasion. If you wish for this to be changed, and for there to have been a seventh invasion, contact an admin and convince them.

Further, the maps section has been removed from Beluaterra as that content is linked to under history. To see a more complete selection of maps, or to add more maps, go to the Maps page. --AbstractLogic (talk) 05:54, 8 December 2019 (CET)

What are you talking about? How is an Invasion that shattered most of the continent and wiped out entire nations not an Invasion? It happened. It's history. How do you claim it didn't happen? --Medron Pryde
Just because there was an increase in rogue spawns doesn't mean that was an invasion. I'm not saying the rogues weren't turned up on both Beluaterra and Dwilight. I'm saying that is not classified as an invasion. The decision of whether or not it was an invasion was not one that I made. If you look at the revision log of the Beluaterra page you will see that Vita (Admin) made the history with six invasions and seven ages. When you added the seventh invasion and eighth age the first time, Vita undid your change. You then changed it again. That is when I changed it back to how Vita had it and made a comment on the Beluaterra Talk page about this issue. Then, you once again changed it. I fixed it a second time, third time total, and left the above note on this page. Now I'll repeat, if you want the Beluaterra page to have seven invasions and eight ages then convince the admins. Another note, in order to include your signature with these comments use the following: --~~~~. That will automatically insert your user name and a date of when you make a comment. --AbstractLogic (talk) 09:26, 13 December 2019 (CET)
I honestly did not notice the early "corrections." They were done so many months apart, and I didn't know at the time to check the revision history, so I never realized anyone was "correcting" my notations about the history. This last time I did, and figured it was because I got the year wrong. So I corrected it and began expanding everything since nobody else had been bothering to do anything in the last few years. Figured someone should at least try to get the history down. And as noted elsewhere, I have informed the Titans of this. Not as a "punish someone" request but as a "make a ruling" request because I don't want to get into a wikiwar over this. My position is simple. It changed Beluaterra in the same way Invasions always have. Yeah, it didn't have Daimons, but neither did the first two Invasions. And there is a major change in game style play as well, especially due to what adventurers did with magic both here on Beluaterra with their attack on Wudenkin and on the East Continent with the attack on Perdan. Basically, everything changed, so it makes sense that they are different Ages, and I never realized anybody would make the case that it wasn't the case. So...as noted, I've asked for a ruling on the matter and we'll see what happens. --Medron Pryde (talk) 10:29, 13 December 2019 (CET)
Understandable that you didn't notice the revisions. I should probably have led off with that information. I would also like to apologize if my tone in the last message came off as hostile. That was not my intention but I was in a hurry that morning and didn't put much thought into how I was phrasing things. As for potential edit-wars, I do not partake in such things. I believe it is possible, and superior, to discuss things with people like a reasonable adult. Plus as an editor it would be unbecoming and unnecessary to get into an edit-war. The pages in question can stay for a while but if I never hear from an admin and the pages haven't been merged then I will be merging them. All the content will be the same, it will just be on the one page. There would be sections for the content of each page so basically the seventh age would be split into three main sections. Actually, now that I think about it, they could still be separate pages and still keep the age/invasion count as Vita had it. I'll try to flesh out how that would look and make a note on one of the talk pages. Either the seventh age talk page or the Beluaterra talk page. Anyways, I would like to thank you for taking the time to make the pages. Not only have I enjoyed reading it but I am certain that others, current and future players, will enjoy the content. --AbstractLogic (talk) 06:51, 17 December 2019 (CET)
I was thinking of the "three parts" option myself. It would take a bit of tricky editing, but nothing too tricky. More pedantic than tricky, really. The main issue I see is that it would be covering a LOT of stuff on one page, but it wouldn't be hard. Two ages of general peace and rebuilding, sliding into war, with a massive Monster and Undead Invasion splitting the two. Kinda like we usually split our ages. But setting it up as three separate parts of one page wouldn't be hard. Just...not as clean. I will note that the daily border maps the system saves are absolutely invaluable to tracking down the exact point at which major changes happen. My recollections have been as much as multiple months off the actual time span noted in those maps, which has allowed me to greatly perfect the actual final wording. I didn't realize we actually had so much time off the Invasion chart before the Monsters and Undead started hitting us again for instance. I thought it was three or four months at most. Turns out to have been more than twice that. I love those maps. Also good for showing people snapshots of the history like "the day such and such fell." It's rather nice to go through and watch nations rise and fall. Nice and a bit terrifying to see what some of us have played through. --Medron Pryde (talk) 12:58, 17 December 2019 (CET)
Also, please accept my apology on being...ahem...a bit hot and annoyed in your general direction. --Medron Pryde (talk) 13:04, 17 December 2019 (CET)
