You just have to make the Table properly and put it onto a proper template page. Then edit the template as and when required. I don't think theres any other way. Could be some more info here [http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Template/ Help:Template - Meta] but it's all quite above me :|

The template is not perfect but there it is. I think it's a lot cleaner to read then the old setup, and a lot easier for people to add their own information in. This is only a dummy page, and the template could probably use a little tweaking for more information/improved formatting/etc, but there you go.
