Concerning the Republican Header, there's this button called Show preview, that allows you to look at how the page would be if you would save it then, without actually saving it already. It also allows you to optimise the page before you save it, so you don't have to correct it over and over again, spamming the Recent Changes page with lines of edits over and over again.
