Roleplay from Ilsa  (1 day, 18 hours ago)

Long before sunrise, the wind began tugging at the tightly secured flaps of Ilsa's tent. Within minutes, the tempest had lathered itself into a blinding fury.

Unable to sleep, Ilsa reviewed Paladin Cicero's Orders again.

She had no doubts that Lady Ravenna would lead Silvae Legio well, but their last visit to Rola Sierrie went largely unchallenged. The latest Scout Reports however, told of a well entrenched and patient army.

It was a good plan. Among other carefully coordinated events, 8 Siege Engines would breach the Palisade. The current and two former Paladin Primuses would then pour a wedge of more than 1200 cs of Cavalry into Rola Sierrie.

Reality, an untamed and unpredictable beast, all too often disregards such well laid plans.

Had Ilsa been able to see more than five feet in front of her warhorse's nose, she might have delayed their advance, or called it off altogether.

Wind-whipped rain slashed itself into the backs of Ilsa and her troops, pushing them forward toward the fortification's walls.

Fired directly into the wind, many Lukonian arrows were, literally, slapped down or veered wildly away from their intended targets. Many, however, found other targets.

Every raindrop that fell was quickly stained dark red as it mingled with the blood of both man and horse. The stinging rain slid relatively unhindered off her troops; the Lukonian arrows did not.

Fire In The Belly, 30 riders strong at "dawn", counted 9 dead or dying in the blood-streaked mud. 21 had been dragged directly to the Healers' tents. Not a single rider was left "combat ready".

In an odd and unspoken truce, liveries from both sides helped divide up the remaining riderless horses who had not yet wandered back to their owner's camps.

As if finally satiated with the rivers of blood spilt, the storm slowly slackened and the rain lifted; leaving an eerie calm behind.

Federation Alliance Peace Neutral War Hatred

Federation should probably be dark blue. --The1exile 17:37, 12 September 2006 (CEST)

I've never seen one on the IG Diplomatic relations page. Is it dark blue there? --Calvin November 17:41, 12 September 2006 (CEST)
Slightly lighter. It's more like alliance is sky blue and federation is... normal blue, for lack of a better term. --The1exile 17:48, 12 September 2006 (CEST)
For what it's worth, I pulled the color codes for Alliance, Neutral, War and Hatred directly out of Tom's php code at http://www.battlemaster.org/stable/play-relations.php. I just don't have any realms on my char's island with "Federation" level relations (to reference). --Calvin November 17:56, 12 September 2006 (CEST)

Thanks for the redirecting stuff you did on my character's page...whatever it is...can you explain it to me if you have time? --J 02:34, 25 October 2006 (CEST)

No problem. Actually, the Redirects were created automatically when I used the "move" function of the wiki (look up near the top, to the right of the "edit" link). Then, the nice thing to do is update all links to the old page's location to point to the new location (use the "What links here" function in the "toolbox" on the lefthand side). Changing the links is not technically required, since the Redirect will, uh, redirect wiki users to the new location automatically, but it's good "wikiness" (keeps the wiki clean). If you haven't noticed, some of us take the Meta:Style Guide pretty seriously. --Calvin November 20:34, 25 October 2006 (CEST)

Thanks for explaining this to me, I will try to incorporate more "wikiness" in my pages from now on... --J 04:13, 28 October 2006 (CEST)

Be aware that selecting your doughnut preference is one of a noble's inalienable rights within the Order of the Doughnuts guild. Anyone who gives you orders about selecting your doughnut preference should be reported to the Grand Glazer ...or at least be forced to consume a moldy powdered doughnut.

Nice work with the order of the doughnuts template - gonna tweak it and apply it to the wiki page for EC as well. --The1exile 19:42, 27 November 2006 (CET)

By all means! You're welcome to it. Come to think of it, I think I lifted the concept from your user page. --Calvin November t/c on 19:47, 27 November 2006 (CET)
Which reminds me - I should stick this there also :) - oh and I changed "by forced to" to "be forced to". --The1exile 20:09, 27 November 2006 (CET)
