At the start of time...

As the Divine created life, all forms were touched by the Holy Light yet only two held a spark of Her Light. These blessed creations of Her heart, her womb, were the Lumi, her servants and those that crafted the stars at Her side, and Humanity, her chosen children born in Her image.

The Lumi were beings of great beauty, creatures of radiance beyond mortal understanding. Born before all others to serve the Divine, with Her they pushed back the Void to form the countless stars and fight the Darkness, bringing order to chaos.

Yet the Divine was not content with worlds devoid of reason or of life. And so, She created the flora that sustains and the fauna that consumes. Some of the Lumi grew jealous, being unable to create life of their own. The Divine, in Her love for her first children granted them the power to create life.

The Lumi created the serpent, the jackal, the vulture. Displeased with their efforts, their creations such lowly life forms incapable of beauty or strength, the Lumen gave form to the Dragon-Queen, to the Great Mother Kraken, and to the Rougarou Patriarch.

As the Divine finished Her part in Creation, she made one more life to populate her chosen world: Humanity. Born in her image, they were granted each an inner fire of the Holy Light and flourished. They offers praise unto Her as She walked among them. In Her Glory, She shared with them visions of Paradisus and Her Golden Throne and unto Mankind She swore that so long as men remained Faithful their Light would ascend and they would walk among those hallowed grounds and live with Her for eternity.

In an effort to emulate the Divine's creation, the Lumi Host gave form to the Fae. Blessed with long lives, they too were placed on the Divine's chosen world and began to prosper. Some Fae walked among Humanity and joined them in worship and praise of the Divine, whom they called Siri in their tongue. In Her honor they took up the name of Siriae, or Loyal of Siriae.

Other Fae instead chose to praise certain Lumi,those amongst the Divine's First Children who grew angry with the Divine when She refused to grant the Fae an inner Light, whom they called the Avae. They called themselves the Avaerion, Followers of the Avae.
