History
This is, without a doubt, of Ucdauh's legendary collection, the only other piece of which that has been covered is his Scroll of the Blessed. The hammer is massive, with innumerable tiny blades of an unknown material protuding in every direction from the head. Legends tell of the Heroes who have wielded this warhammer in battle, and the devastation it brings to the wielder's enemies. A strike from the hammer rends the skin to shreds, and some say the hammer feeds on the blood it draws, ever increasing its power.
Rediscovery
Excerpt from the journal of Valachi...
This place, Joppo, it is horrible here. I have seen fewer and fewer living people and more and more undead, I am even beginning to recognize some of them... They are walking the streets! They are everywhere! It is as though another scourge has descended upon us, but I do my duty, I fight these abominations. It is strange though, the things these abominations find... or conjure... after they turn. Today I encountered another Champion, this was even more frightening than the others because of the weapon it wielded. It was no rusty sword or mere hammer, but the Ucdauh's legendary Warhammer of Bloodletting. I have no idea how long the fight went on, but I knew that should that thing land a hit on me I was done for, and so I did my best to dodge it until I could strike, and an eternity seemed to pass...
And then... a chance! It was the first opening I had seen yet, this damned thing was too smart, but it was bound to make a mistake! The warhammer flew past my head for the n'th time, and as I ducked I thrust foward, impaling the fiend with my sword. Quickly I brought the sword up and to the left, using the abomination's own momentum to slice it in half... a short, unholy, scream, and dust, that was all that was left. Dust, and that hammer... who would have thought such a thing could still exist...
