Desiderius and Millicent

Desiderius and Millicent are the father and mother of Fey, Dyan, Rowan, and their siblings. Millicent gave birth to Sh'ki out of wedlock on Atamara, before she met Desiderius. She met Desiderius on a ship sailing to the Colonies. Like-minded and strong-willed, the two fell in love over the voyage and decided to marry. The baby girl never once took to the climate of the Colonies, and Millicent sent her back with her uncle to grow up back in the Ash Sea Islands.

The young female child with Millicent reminded Desiderius of the girl he had courted as a younger man. He had foregone the rulings of his church in the passion of young love, and his love Kateren had become with child. Unable to stay with her, he left her with as much of his personal holdings as he could. He wondered if the baby had been born, and what had become of Kateren.

Faunn

Faunn is the eldest daughter of Portion's Twix family. She has not yet decided what to do with her life, and remains at the family manor, helping her crippled elder brother and her family. She is spirited and softspoken, and often dances.

Valerian

Nothing is yet known of this man, he is the product of rumour. The Twix family is unsure if he even exists, though someone of this name has been spotted wandering in the Far East.

The Duskwings

The Twix Family are known for the breeding of a line of tiny messenger pigeons, which they have dubbed the Duskwings. They are very small for their species, and are a dark, charcoal grey in colour. They can be seen occasionally perched on Sh'ki's shoulder, when the falcon Scar is not around.
