Youth of Aeneas

Aeneas was a young boy of noble heritage in the region of Ar Nozul. He was raised by his father who was an important men in the region, but often busy and his mother who was always sweet to Aeneas and his brother. Aeneas is the oldest of a twin, with 10 minutes ahead on his brother Ecuo. He lived a blessed life as a little boy, his father, when he had time, taught the boys something about governing men and regions and his mother gave him all the attention he wanted. He was free to play in the woods with his brothers and was fed well. His life seemed almost perfect, until the day of disaster.

That day started great, he was happy that his father would finally take them on a trip to see the region's lord. His father had to talk about the military threat of Perdan which might come one day and the boys were finally old enough to join him. When they had spend a day in the lord's mansion the news hit them hard. Aeneas' mother was murdered along with all the other people he knew but his brother and father. Aeneas had raged on for days before he got somewhat calmer.

After that tragic day they travelled to the mountains near Ubent Castle, it was not like he was used to before. No large dinners and they were no longer allowed to play as much as before. No bed-time story from his mother any more and his father and the peasants where constantly busy building a new mansion and collecting food. The first few months were very hard on Aeneas, but he adapted himself to his new environment and began to hunt himself as well. One day he stood face to face with a monster who had gotten close to their new home. He was about 13 and had learned how to handle a sword, but not enough. While he managed to strike at the monster and wounding him the wounds were not severe and the monster had nearly killed Aeneas. It was that his father got back from hunting just in time to slay the beast and safe his son. From that day forward Aeneas promised himself and Sartan that he would train even harder and harder. And so he did, until the age of 17.

Life in Ibladesh

When Aeneas was 17 he left the mansion near the castle and had a message send to all the lords in Ibladesh that he Aeneas Quintus Ennius wanted to swear allegiance to a lord or a duke and to prove his skills and devotion to the empire. It was time he stepped up to restore the family name, to no longer live in hiding but to face the world.

Military career

Quickly he received an offer from Earl Samuel Quasath of Woolton to become a knight in the region. He quickly started his travel to this region to have an estate build to help his Earl to govern the region of Woolton. He received some gold from his father for his journey and this he would use to buy the materials needed for the estate, the Earl was kind enough to provide the manpower needed to build and enlarge the estate. But on his first visit to Woolton, only a full day from his home near the mountains Aeneas faced his first challenge. Monsters had been spotted in Woolton and he had to assist the militia in the region to get rid of them, his first battle, if he could get there on time.

Aeneas' life went on for years and quickly he became vice marshal of the Blades of Kokini. Proud of what he had achieved Aeneas' did all he could to proof to his superiors and to Sartan that he was worth their trust. He worked so hard he hardly had time for anything but his military career. His hard work paid off when he was promoted to Marshal of the Blades of Kokini fairly quickly after his first promotion. It was now his task to lead the army and so he would. He began rebuilding and strengthening his army, speaking and motivating those noblemen who served alongside him. His work was fairly successful and his army became one to recognise. His work was not finished though. For the Paladin Primus of Ibladesh disappeared. His mentor and guide who helped him when he left the family mansion. He would never forget Duke Kazimir to whom he owed so much. But a replacement was needed and within the Halls of Sartan none seemed willing or able to take the responsibility. So young Aeneas took it. He was only 19 years old when he first was elected Paladin Primus. A hard task, especially since the military was in chaos and their brothers in arm of the Diocese of Aix were nearly wiped out. Ibladesh at that point had only concentrated on Caligus and change was needed to prevent the destruction of Diocese of Aix. However it was already too late. The Diocese fell and the war continued. The war had become a heavy 2-front war which Ibladesh faced for a very long time and Aeneas was still busy reorganizing the armies and the military of Ibladesh. Within the reorganization he also stepped down as Marshal himself. When he had thought he had finally succeeded, one of his marshals disobeyed his command and a important battle was lost because of it. This ultimately led to Aeneas' resignation as Paladin Primus.

He stayed inside the Halls of Sartan for a while until he had lost his temper and lashed out towards the then current Paladin Primus. Where the argument was later resolved, Aeneas was worried by this event. He had not lost his temper since he was a little boy. The last time was 2 years after the slaughter of his family. He decided to return to the essence of his nature, to return to the faith that had helped him for so long. Aeneas stepped out of the Halls of Sartan and took on the robes of the Church of Ibladesh. He would devote his life to the gods even further, praying every day fully and meditate the rest of the day to return calm and faith fully within his soul once more.

Life as a priest

Aeneas was now 23 years old. He had witnessed far more than most of his age and he had responsibilities only few would hold in their entire lives. Yet he had now returned to the most sacred and holy essence of the mind and soul..FAITH. After a few weeks of prayers and meditation he extended his life. He now began preaching to the people of Ibladesh as well. To the peasants and to it's noblemen. To show them the greatness of the gods and the importance of faith.
