CURRENT AFFAIRS

Perdanites smashed!

In a large battle, allied forces of Fontan+Sirion were able to repel the Perdanite army and inflict heavy casualties. Several were captured/wounded, but the "trophy" of the battle was Queen Clarissa of Perdan. What is going to happen to her after pissing off President Gregor of Fontan? -Doc

=======Update One======= Successful allied troops retreated from Bescanon, and the straggelers were destroyed by Perdanites moving in to secure the battlefield. Allies currently hold the line in Troyes. -Doc

Where are they...?

After the battles in Bescanon last week, things have been silent. This could be the first time in a good long while that Sirion forces haven't been "bogged down" in trenches for long periods of time. What are the Perdanites up to? Maybe September will be the bloodiest month of the year, yet. -Doc

Perdanites keep playing Cat and Mouse

Allied forces broke through into Bescanon today...and the Perdanites are anywhere but the front lines. It appears they are fleeing, perhaps Ibladeshian troops have captured their attention. Over 20K of allied forces now inside of Perdan. What they will do is yet to be seen. -Doc

=Update One=

Allied forces total roughly 32kCS in Bescanon, as Fontan takes it over.

=Update Two=

It appears that Perdan is advancing with her huge army. It is a well known fact that the allied forces need to "relearn" what it means to defend a camp given their recent string of losses while acting as Defenders. The allied forces are unmatched in terms of offensive capabilities evident in their numerous successful campaigns against well-garrisoned troops...but their recent strategy has been to set up camp and try to reduce the amount of equipment damage gained from moving on open fields, and to avoid engaging in various battles (and to boot, the Perdanites rarely fight as defenders in regions where they don't have a fort set up anyway, and their resupply route is so short to the front)...this "All or Nothing" strategy is risky, but allows for Allied forces to return a short distance to resupply, versus risking costly battles against Fortified locations, and having to return all the way to the Capital...we can only hope that being dug in, on the field, for upwards of a week at a time...and then facing fresh Perdanese Forces...will work out in the long haul. It is too soon to tell whether or not the Allies will be able to force Perdan into battle sooner than in previous campaigns, if perhaps, more TOs run rampant on Perdanese Soils, on a simultaneous level...but as it stands, the Perdanites have shown they will not expose themselves on open ground unless it is absolutely necessary....so we'll just set up camp around a takeover and let them come to us, even if it is a week later, when damages are high, and morale is low. -Doc

Slaverly Illegal in Sirion, but is a Local Merchant Bending Laws?

Adrian, a Count of the Republic, has been openly purchasing goods used in the Cannibis farms within Sirion, acquired abroad with the use of slavery as the chief work-force. Many in Sirion do not feel that Adrian is promoting Sirion ideals because of where the supplies are coming from. Discussion runs rampant as he is being accused of having slaves on the Farms themselves, and no official Investigation has taken place yet. -Doc

Infiltrator not thinkin Straight

Seth VI damaged the production in a Fontanese region by a full 3%, and was caught immediately after the fires blazed and revealed his location to authorities. The Fontanese were able to contain the fire and salavage most of their productive facilities. In response to that action, Judge Hyraltic has issued a fine of 100 gold, with a ban if it happens again. Seth VI will probably get banned from Fontan for his actions...as I doubt "I was Drunk" will be a sufficient reason not to get banned by the Courts of Fontan. -Doc
