This page is a work in progress.

Perleone Delegation

Perleone sent a delegation to Perdan and then ultimately to Eponllyn early in the month. King Marchusson stated a clear interest in Perleoni commanders learning from Eponlli military tactics, but that does not appear to be the real intent here. More prevalent was the express desire of King Marchusson to broker peace between Eponllyn and Perdan.

Following the statement of intent by King Marchusson, it was learned that Queen Alyssa did meet with a member of the delegation in Perdan Mines. What happened at this private meeting has not been revealed. Queen Alyssa, did have this to say of Perleone's delegation prior to the meeting: "I see no reason to decline, Perleone after all are our friends and have been very cooperative with us on a number of issues. I am happy to work with them on whatever it is they are interested in."

Internal Turmoil in Sirion

Near the beginning of the month, Sirion expressed a desire for continued friendship and cooperation with Perdan. Queen Alyssa and the rest of the Perdanese appear to be pleased with this and hope that this desire is indeed fulfilled. However, rumour has reached our ears of internal issues in Sirion. The exact nature of this turmoil has not been ascertained. Inquiries are soon to be sent out and, hopefully, we will have more to report on this matter in the next issue.

A Generous Donation

The Scarlet Breastplate of Glory was purchased by Sir Tsingu Orobar. Sir Tsingu donated the prestigious item to the office of Baillivus. Following a brief conversation it was made an official artefact of the Baillivus by Judge-Magister Daario Vulparan. For the rest of time, this great breastplate shall be held by whomever is the Baillivus of Perdan. Baillivus Ender Fate had the following to say in response to Sir Tsingu's donation: "Your generosity and service to the realm do us all a great credit. I would be honored to be the first in what will be a long, prosperous line of Baillivuses to don the Scarlet Breastplate of Glory. I promise to wear it with pride and will transfer it to my successor."

A truly remarkable gesture from a remarkable servant of Perdan, Sir Tsingu Orobar.

Perdanese Imperator Election

The election for Imperator came to a close on the 8th. The two candidates were Lucien de Lune and Furgon Heavyfoot. With diligent campaigning during the race, Lucien was the obvious favourite to win the election. None were surprised when Lucien was able to secure a landslide victory, 45 to 10. Within Perdan there seems to be an obvious sentiment that with Lucien as Imperator, the armies of Eponllyn will continue to be well-matched.

Dissipation of Etiquette

Viscount of Beziers, Vidran Konran, lost his title on the 4th after being imprisoned by Eponllyn during the battle in The Alter of Flames near the end of May. On his return, Sir Vidran reported that he was not treated poorly in the Eponllni dungeons; however, he did mention that Chief of Justice Amélie Tempest did not visit him in the jails. Some interviewed about this topic have expressed a clear dissatisfaction with this arrangement. They believe that any noble prisoner should get at least one visit or even a letter from the presiding Judge. After all, these are men and women of noble blood. Don't they deserve at least the common decency of acknowledgment?

Tid-Bits

  • Around June 1st, rumours spread that Perleone, Caligus, and Yssrgard engaged in discussion about Shadowdale's dissolution of the Perleone alliance. Perdan appears to be largely uninvolved with this and has expressed no desire to get involved with this potentially volatile situation. On June 2nd, an alliance between Perleone and Yssrgard was made official.
  • On the 8th, a surge in paganism was noticed in The Alter of Flames. Some of the paganist tendencies slipped into Perdan Mines.
  • On the 9th, Hamilton limb Hall regained his Lordship of Nascot following a festering wound gained in the battle of The Alter of Flames.
