The Blackest Bible

Chapter Seven: Of the Dead.

Souls

Each and every being has a life force and conscience, which we refer to as a soul. This soul makes sure we do not do anything bad, or create havoc among our peers. It gives us morals and justifications for our actions.

It can also do the opposite.

A tormented soul can fight for survival... Always clawing from the inside out, trying to escape, and creating madmen in the wake of the soul.

If the soul is complacent with it's existance, it appears blue-white in nature and resonates a bright glow. If the soul is tormented, it appears red. Still with the same bright glow, but you get a sense of closure around their kind.

Remember: A soul is life. Your soul creates your decisions for you, and you don't have a say. It is a living essence of control and dominance. Do not torment your soul, but instead take heed of what it wants to do. You are but a shell.

Shells

Your shell is valuable. To you, to me, to us, to them... It is what gives you existance. If not for your shell, YOU would not exist. Of course there is a soul swirling inside that locked casket, but that is exactly why there are no holes. That soul is not yours, as most commonly thought. That spirit is a gift to you, and as a gift, it must be treated as such.

If this gift is abused, or not used wisely, it may rebel causing death to the shell. Without a life force, what is there to power us? Of course... that is only the beginning.

While a soul is a mystical force, a shell is a physical manifestation. It can be influenced by products within our own world. The inner workings within such a machine are unimaginable, until you see for yourself.

The Yolk

The yolk is where the soul resides while it is contained. Within the chest cavity, there is a fist-sized red ball with tubes connecting it to seperate parts of the body. Some call this the heart.

Within the yolk, there are chambers (some yolks have more chambers than others, depending on how many parts there are to complete the soul). Through examination, we have found there to be four distinct chambers. Each one holds a seperate emotion to pump through the blood to reach the shell... Almost as if administering drugs to the patient as it deems fit. Many still argue over whether or not the yolk is the house of the soul or just the birthplace.

The Chambers

1-> Love 2-> Hate 3-> Conscience 4-> Conviction

Each person, complete with shell and soul, has these four feelings within themselves. Depending on the soul, the shell will be recieving different amounts of each of these 'drugs' at any given time, depending on how the soul reacts to entrapment.

If a shell recognizes it's soul, then the two may commune. If this happens, immortality is possible if the soul never wearys it's soul and doesn't overwork the yolk with negativities. A communed soul appeares greenish-white.
