The Cagilan Empire has just declared war on Falasan! Here is their Prime Minister's letter to the public:
I come before you today with the gravest of announcements. The Cagilan Empire is going to war with Falasan. We have some concerns over the safety and security of our own Eastern border and so are seeking to rectify that. Given our long and intertwined history, as well as what we believe to be a general feeling of distrust and subtle aggression that we have seen in their dealings and read in their publications, we have genuine concerns that Falasan would use this opportunity to strike at us. Falasan has a large military machine at its disposal, as do we, and we are using this opportunity to resolve a tense situation before it can ignite into a war which could engulf all of Atamarra. We do not do this lightly, nor do we do this merely as a way to assuage our egos or pride. We are not fools or warmongers. For those of you out there who are alarmed by this, I share your concern. After all, war is not something that is lightly engaged or considered, It is only after extensive deliberations by our Senate and realm council that we have felt that this path was our only remaining option. But please know this, the Cagilan Empire harbors no aggressive intentions towards any of the other realms of Atamarra. We are not seeking a war of absolute domination and dominion. After 5 days of a brutal takeover, the citizens of Aja have finally been freed of their oppressors. Women are dancing naked in the streets as news of their freedom spread. The intolerance, fanaticism and rigidity of the Serpent religion have always bred low-level resentment among ASI's outlying regions, making them open to more modern faiths. Now, they are free to embrace the beliefs Tara makes available to them. This unprecedented liberty has already increased the loyalty of half the population and promoted Tara to the surrounding regions. Aja is indeed grateful to have us here. Administrators and Government Officials are fanning out and spreading order as they go. The presence of several The Order Priests are assisting them.
