A coordinated counterattack by Falasan and Minas Ithil has succeeded in taking Cori and Picnu away from us. With our own allies unavailable and monsters/Norland Raiders n the rear, we have been unable to muster enough to resist.

<i> I greet you all now, great nobles of Tara, as Count of Andurus. This is a strange time for Atamara, with ancient enemies becoming new allies and old friends becoming feared foes. It is also a strange time for Tara herself, with long periods of peace leading to petty squabbles and inner conflict. However throughout it all Tara has stood strong and I have stood proudly with her. Andurus has been my family's home for generations and I plan to see her continue as such. With Andurus as my newly appointed charge I swear that I shall do everything within my power to see her maintain herself as a region that Tara can be proud of. Come hell and high water Andurus will stand strong and I will stand stoically alongside her.
+
Rest assured, this is only a minor delay in our plans of spreading Freedom to the Oppressed.

We have just gotten word that a major assault has overrun Ash'rily, capital of the Ash Sea Islands. An estimated 30,000 CS Army of Caergoth/Carelia defeated ASI's 15,000 CS defenders in a titanic battle. Damage to both armies and the fortifications have been massive.

The little wars in the northeast have now consumed every realm of Atamara. Every realm, that is, except Talerium. With the mighty army of Abington reported to be moving north to fight Minas Ithil and the Cagilan Empire, Talerium is now the last of the uncommitted. I am still having trouble following who is allied to who in this fracas. Certainly, the time Talerium can stay neutral is running very short.

There has been a large resurgence of undead and monster activity in Carelia, the Cagilan Empire, Darka and Tara. These evil creatures are of such size and strength that normal militia units are incapable of stopping them. Thus, it is with reluctance that each realm must dispatch a task force for disposal.

As anyone can see in the map, we are doing very well. There is almost no resistance now when our army liberates Rabbit regions. Peasants welcome Tara with open arms. Both Barad Falas and Tucha are surrounded, there people starving while their Lords flee. As I write this, I look out my window and witness the massive army gathering for the siege of Barad Falas. Once that persecuted city is free, Falasan will be broken.

I am tired of this realm having two RL friends in control! They only do what they want and listen to no one. This realm used to be a great realm. There was a lot more fun and order when Achilles was in power and Lister was our general. At least than we had a balance of what each wanted to do. Now we have two players that only do what they want to, with little consequence to them. Since they hold the top two spots of our realm. This is not what I live for. This is not what I have bled for. Dictatorship or not, this needs to change. This realm used to be beautiful and bright. Now the cloud of our leaders has covered it. It is darker now than it ever was when we were down to 2-3 regions.

One of the early questions in this war has always been the early warning the Ash Sea Islands received during the massing of our armies at their border. We have later learned that a traitor from Suville leaked the liberation plans to our enemies, prolonging the war and suffering of ASI.

Nobles of Tara, I plead to you. If you get the chance again, bring the light back! Elect a new leader for this realm! Do not condemn this realm further by electing Jonathon again. Personally my favorite candidate is Manxy, but any, including Achilles or James, would be a GREAT improvement.
+
Clearly, Sir Damian Bedwyr, Duke of Stoneville can be none other than the traitor in question. HE made ASI suffer and, indeed, the argument can be made that the Falasan War is his fault as well.
This is no longer Tara, this is Jonathon and Lister’s play realm.

For this reason I have decided to will no longer be with you. I have had it with the back stabbing talk of our allies and the leading down dark hallways that this leadership is doing. I have had it with these two leading our realm. I have had it with their non-listening ears. This realm is not where I grew up and it is certainly not the realm that I have grown to love so much. It’s changed and all the old players, like Manxy and Achilles, see this. Heed their words to you when they speak! They are wise and deserving of your ears.
+
The Tara Times will seek to confirm this speculation and get back to you.
I shall miss this realm! It was the only place where I actually felt like it was my home. But it has changed. I hope that things eventually change within this realm. I hope that my death will cause some people to finally listen. Do not let our leaders destroy the glory that is left in this realm.

I nominate Achilles to take my spot as Duke! I know that Jonathon has told me that he will never give Achilles a position as long as he is our ruler. So I will start a referendum and let the people of Tara decide if Achilles would make a good Duke or not. And should they choose yes and Jonathon still doesn’t listen to the people than start the uprising.

For more than a week now Thor, former Duke of Foda, has shown signs of frustration and despair. These feelings came to a boiling point during Jonathon's accidental removal from Office and subsequent re-Election. Thor very much wanted a new Dictator on the throne but despite the current problems, the Votes went everywhere and Jonathon won anyway. I believe this was when Thor snapped into insanity and suicide.

The pressures of war have forced all available staff to the frontlines, abandoning their journalism duties for the greater good. As the tide of war turns our way, we have now found the time to continue our work here at the paper.

About 24 hours ago, Thor began to destroy the Darkan Mercenary Company Guild located at his City of Foda. This action was unauthorized and done by Thor and Thor alone. Darka lowered our relations to Peace a few hours later. Needless to say, confusion and demands for answers came from all members of the Military Council. Fearing Rebellion, I myself have returned to Foda and several others have set course to return home. I am happy such rebellion did not happen as the sideeffects to our Regions would have been dire indeed.

Thor is dead. He killed himself rather than face the charge of treason and the verdict of death. We have all lost a great warrior and friend. His love for Tara has blinded him to all other truths and such lack of sight ultimately destroyed him. I beg you all not to follow in his path.
