Statement from Tom

I'm not too happy about this page, though I think the idea is good. Please, make very, very sure it is edited well and kept updated. A better idea might be to teach people how to sort and search in the bugtracker. For example, to find known bugs, you could filter for Status = confirmed or assigned. --Tom 14:21, 15 August 2006 (CEST)

I've been thinking of writing a "how to use the bugtracker" article for a while, I've just never gotten around to it. --Nicholas 14:41, 15 August 2006 (CEST)

Template

I would greatly appreciate it if someone more knowledgeable than I in the ways of the Wiki could make some sort of template for the bugs, so we could put in name, description, and number, and it would come out looking nice. --Anaris 19:15, 13 August 2006 (CEST)

Well I made a template which would have to be embbeded into the page like on the Realm Pages. For now to distinguish between Major and Minor bugs I just decided to make the names of the major bugs bold, and emphasise the minor bugs but you could make a separate table for each category if you liked. Then just edit the template for each section when you needed to add/remove something - Revan
I don't think that the bugs should be listed in a table. It's not really tabular data, I personally prefer the current format. But it is a pretty table. :-) I'll try and come up with a template of my own. --Nicholas 23:05, 13 August 2006 (CEST)
Yeah; I don' think the table is the best way of representing this information. I like Nicholas's template--thanks a lot, Nicholas! --Anaris 00:20, 14 August 2006 (CEST)

Location

Anyone have any good ideas about where this page should be linked from? To be the most useful, it ought to be linked as prominently as possible--even from the front page, but that, I believe, needs the OK of an Editor and/or Tom... --Anaris 19:15, 13 August 2006 (CEST)

For now, I've put it under Miscellaneous#Development, but I do think it wants to be somewhere more noticeable... --Anaris 19:39, 13 August 2006 (CEST)
Where on the front page do you think it should go? (You might want to leave a note on my user page if you reply to this. I don't check the wiki very frequently.) --Nicholas 22:44, 13 August 2006 (CEST)
Whatever you do, do not put it on the front page. It doesn't belong there and I will remove it if I see it there. We don't need any more rubbing-in-your-face to feel bad about the many bugs, and it doesn't help anyone. Whoever wants to find this information, will. The search box is in the navigation bar. --Tom 14:23, 15 August 2006 (CEST)
Okay, It didn't really seem to fit anywhere on the front page anyway. --Nicholas 14:37, 15 August 2006 (CEST)
