Concerning your March 17th Article

The latest copy of the Carelia Times was recently delivered to our offices. For several days, the parchment was used simply to see if our quills were still sharp. Eventually however, we succumbed to curiosity and decided to see if there was anything worth reading in our rivals journal. There wasn't, as it turned out. But we decided to get in touch with Malice Osha, former King of Ash Sea Islands, to hear his response to some of the claptrap published in the Carelian propaganda rag.

I would say that this paragraph is sadly misguided -- the Carelia Times may be propagandistic in that it reflects the opinions of its editor, but I believe it should be evident from the wording that the views of the editor are most certainly not the views of Carelia's king. I think it should be evident that the editor of the Carelia Times opposes the views of Garthon; he is even mentioned as one of Garthon's critics. Shame on you, to distribute such false information without confirming it.

The first casualty of war is always the truth, and never more so with the likes of Carelia. Ah! How many times was I told, by my own "critics," how silly it was to be concerned with the warmongering, the lying, the hatred, the obvious power plays... no! Abington, we were all told, was the "root of all evil" on Atamara, and simply removing it through war would solve all our problems, no? Ha. It pleases me that it didn't, and never will. Now there is the Cagilan Empire dominant, just as I said, and it barely even makes a pretense of diplomacy anymore. Carelia must choose now between honour and survival. I have little doubt as to which it will choose, based on similar choices it has made in the past. When an entire realm is willing to sacrifice its honor, the truth can hardly be much mourned.
