Laws

The Talerium Code

  • Duels to the dealth are illegal without the express consent of the council when duels are allowed.
  • Thou shalt not spy for another realm, doing so will result in deportation or execution.
  • Thou shalt not plunder or loot enemy regions except with the permission of the General or the Council of the Republic.
  • Thou shalt respect all decisions that are made by the council of the republic. You may discuss them but disobedience/defiance of the council will result in a ban if the error is grave enough.
  • Thou art encouraged to take an active part of the great realm of Talerium... we foster the growth of characters in our great realm.
  • Thou shalt respect the chain of command...
    • Your Liege -> The Council of the Republic -> Your Respective Marshal -> Your Second in Command
  • Thou shalt respect the mighty allies of Talerium. They are to be treated with respect ALWAYS! We are the shield of our allies, and they are our shield.
  • Thou shalt not put thine troops on a MURDEROUS setting. This will result in a ban.
  • Abuse of Power. This is a grave offense and the Council shall judge the abuser severely.
  • No person is permitted to hold more than one position on the council.
  • The council is made up of the Dukes, the Prime Minister, the Grand Justicar, the General, the Banker, and those voted to become permanent members through council decision.
    • Captain, Katheryn, Kepler, and Alarin are the current permanent members

The Méliane Doctrine

(governs the actions of Infiltrators)

  • No infiltrator shall attack any region in Talerium unless given specific orders from the council to do so.
  • Any infiltrator actions upon a realm that is not an enemy will receive harsh punishment issued from the council.
  • The Judge of the realm sustains the right to torture any infiltrator captured, enemy or not, in order to discover the motives behind the attack and any future ones.


The Marioneaux Laws

  • Any recruitment center change that decreases, removes, or otherwise lowers the total amount of actively recruitable men must first be approved by the council.
  • If a religion declares another religion inside Talerium evil, they shall be banished.
  • All religions are welcome to preach inside Talerium lands, so long as they have the permission of the local lord to do so and have not been banished by the Talerium Council.


All laws are passed and all sentences are debated upon by the Council of the Republic before any action is taken.

Prisoner Agreements

This area will designate current agreements and the terms we are currently dealing with foreign judges on:

Falasan-Talerium Agreement

  • Prisoners will be released after two days in prison, unless an exchange can expedite this process.
  • Prisoner gold may not be stolen under 100 gold, but anything over 100 gold is allowed to be confiscated.
  • Prisoner are not to be subject to torture.
  • Infiltrators shall be banned upon their first capture, and if captured again, deported to the island of their captor's choice.
  • The agreement will be valid up to the first august 2009, but may be renewed any time before then.

Norland-Talerium Agreement

  • All infiltrators may have their gold taken and will be banned first time. Second time around they shall be deported unless they attack a Norland noble than they may be executed. If caught a third then you may be executed.
  • Any other men who are not infiltrators and especially any who have been captured in battle will be held in prison for no longer than two days then will be set free no strings attached. No harm will come to this prisoner. And his gold stays with him.
  • Priests who are caught stay in prison for no more than 3 days unharmed and untouched then are set free no strings attached.
