Sacred Obia'Syela is a theocracy of priests and monuments, the seat of the religious order, The Heralds of Obeah. Its Capital, Keffa, was delivered from the Netherworld to mankind by Obeah and protected by daimonic thralls possessed by the goddess to guard her Oracle. The realm is a refuge of scholarly pursuit in the study of magic, a safe harbor from terror of war, oppression, and is utterly committed to destroying the Daimons of the Netherworld. To that end, at the behest of the Oracle, The Inquisition was founded with the twin tasks of rooting out and destroy the Netherworld's heresy wherever it could be found and gathering magical items for study by the Heralds.

Obia'Syela, or "Obeah's Heaven" in the common parlance, is a holy, theocratic realm of priests and temples founded by a powerful Oracle and ruled by the benevolent Heralds of Obeah, a religious order made up of faithful from all walks of life and dedicated to the study of magic and delivering mankind from the ravages of the monsters, undead, and daimonkind to the safety of their namesake patron's embrace and protection.

The Heralds of Obeah welcome you to the safety of Sacred Obia'Syela and invite you to join our studies. Come in peace or be sent home in pieces.

Welcome Message

Greetings, Templar, to the theocratic realm of Sacred Obia'Syela.

I am Rania, the Oracle of Obeah and ruler of theocracy of Sacred Obia'Syela. We have never met, nor have I ever encountered a member of your family, but I have heard of your people, and I welcome you, sir, into our home. There's not much left in Rines besides potential. When Fronen gave this city to the Heralds, the commoners were rioting for food and crying out for leadership. It was through the stalwart action of the knights templar, the patient preaching of the Heralds, and the immediate investment of the agents inquisitor that we were able to calm the populace, build our capital, and range for food. We are people who have overcome many adversities to be here, having nearly been destroyed by no less than the daimonic overlord Jomorosh himself. We serve the Veiled Goddess whose name is Obeah: A deity of Magic whose Will is set against the Netherworld and its daimons. her priesthood and faith are the Heralds of Obeah who speak her Word and enact her Will. All of our knights are part of the Temple - Templars serving as it's protectors. All of our ruling council positions are available, but only for the priesthood...full heralds of Obeah, are fit to rule. To stay, you must join to the Temple. To advance, you must serve.

Much was lost when the archdaemon Jomorosh attacked Keffa. Our grand temples and shrines, our statues and monuments, much of the faithful perished and the nobility's fortunes were lost. Our current goal is to find as many sources of gold as possible so that our knights can recruit and we can expand to secure food-producing regions. Since only priests may hold ruling council positions, and I lack the funds to increase the size of our temple for anyone who would aspire to join the heralds as a priest. Only members of the faith may be awarded titles or office, so I do encourage you to visit the temple and the Inquisition. There is a great deal of work to be done. Presently, the good knights you see here have expended their fortunes bringing this city up from its knees. We've managed to raise two recruitment centers and are incrementally building our forces to be strong enough to conquer Avengmi to the south. We have a great deal of room to expand, after all, and we are far from the striful conflicts of the central continent. I have found that the Veiled Goddess always leaves a Path for those that would follow her.

You will also find a guildhouse for the Inquisition, whose foremost member in the realm is currently Inquisitor Zacharie. This holy order is dedicated to rooting out the adherents of the Portal, and evil faith that the daimons of the Netherworld have blighted the land with. Presently, we lack the men and the gold to coax our neighboring regions into submitting to our rule. So what we cannot do with swords, we hope instead to accomplish with faith. It will be some time before you are situated enough to be considered to join the priesthood, if that is your eventual desire. In the meantime, we have great need of police in Rines as we recently moved our capital here and need help maintaining control. We also suffer from regular rogue attacks that your men can help with. There is no gold to be had at the moment. you come to us on the ground floor of our greatest enterprise.

I hope that one day your name will join your fellows in our history.

Blessings of the Veiled Goddess be upon you,

– Rania Eastersand JeVondair Grandmistress, Grand Inquisitor, Grand Chancellor of Obia'Syela
