The Sabre of Pelnora Vents was aptly named by is discoverer Pendric for it is in fact a magical sabre and he did find it at the Pelnora Vents. The magical weapon was taken from a swashbuckling bugbear that raided the volcanic badlands as a pirate of the lava flows. Pendric had been commissioned to put an end to the pirate band and in his final showdown with the bugbear captain ended up kicking him off the bank of a lava flow and into the boiling magma of Mount Kalmar.
