Perdan Mines is a rich region immediately west of the great city of Perdan. Scholars classify it as a badlands, although it can be more accurately divided into three distinct areas.
The eastern part, closest to Perdan, is constituted of rolly hills with vineyards, and it boast a fine, if small, production of Port wines. There are two small villages, equally peaceful is a little sleepy in their contentedness: Leonia, more inland, Pelasgia, on the coast. People in this part of Perdan Mines are generally quite rich, or perhaps it is the rich who make their home here. In the middle of the peninsula the terrain gets rougher, and shafts can be spotted on the side of the hills. This is the area that gives the name to the region, and it is not particularly pretty. The mining village of Aurocastrum is the main community here. It is also the seat of the Amputated Albatross, a inn infamous throughout the region. People living in and around Aurocastrum are invariable miners and somehow connected to the mining buisness. They are noted for their extremely bad temper, which the Baron has tried to mitigate by building a small shrine to the Church of Humanity. A big success so far, except that the swearing has not diminished. The westernmost part of the Perdan Mines is savage and desolated. Rumours abound that strange things unearthed by the miners have made their abode in the rocky landscape. Marble columns and pieces of majectic statuaries speak of a great past, but none remembers or wants to remember. The only village is the fishing and sailing port of Chaosia on the tip of the peninsula. The village has had an incredible economic boost since the Volcano Islands have emerged from the sea. It is also the place where the Baron has its mansion and it has become quite a fashionable area, with a small harbour hosting a sizeable fishing and commercial fleet and even the occasional leisure galley of the rich Perdanite.

Baron milo is currently looking for Nobles whom he can trust to support authority and production in the above mentioned localities.
