Ossmat (Region)

History

Prehistric Times

The Ossmat Duchy must be seen as the heir of the lost realm of Ossmat. It only has abandoned it's dead king, Ghost, and has sworen fealthy to the King of Old Grehk. It has now even managed to become the most important city of Old Grehk and even the King has his palace there. 15.000 years ago, Aisen, the God of Wisdom, has landed on the site where now the palace of the King of Old Grehk is build. He ordered all the local peasants, like 1300 in total to build a city on the place where he landed. Soon the peasants started building and on a huge rocky hill, wich looked out over the forest surrounding it, a imposant construction, the palace of the first Ossmat Kings, and the first stone contruction of the forests.

The Arrival of the Grehkians

Later the Ossmatian Kings have been driven away by Grehk, but when Grehk had all their cities seceed in attempt to survive the first UD invasion, Ghost again took up the ancient crown of the Ossmatian kings. Though later he got killed and the Crown went to the Duke of Ossmat who is now still wearing it in ceremonies. Soon the newly founded city of Ossmat attracted many people from all over the forest and even some people from the cold north and from the hot regions at the Lake. It soon influenced whole the forest and they've build a new city wich became an exact copy of Ossmat, named Keffa after it's founder King Adruel Keffa II, 7th King of Ossmat. It was the first city to fall when the Grehkians invaded the North. Then after some minor battles with the surrounding Kingdoms the Grehkians invaded the forests. They where with thousands and they were driven by a thirst for a new land, since they moved away because of the overcrowded southern regions. They have found this new land in Keffa and surrounding and they quickly overwhelmed the smaller army of Ossmat.

Secession and the Fall

After the seceed of Ossmat, Ossmat again was a florishing city as the capital of the Kingdom of Ossmat. Though Ossmat got destroyed by the evil vampires

Liberation by Old Grehkians

captured by Old Grehk when the Second Era begun. Since the Second Era Ossmat is again florishing as capital of Old Grehk, and the people there haven't suffered the looting of the UD.

Now

Though we will see what the Third Era will bring for the city of Ossmat wich at least has a very interesting history.
